Inn at Windmere

Myself along with 4 of my friends stayed here this past weekend for a scrapbooking retreat and we had the most amazing time! All 5 of us found ourselves saying all weekend how everything was perfect and they didn't miss a thing! Susie makes the most amazing popcorn which kept us snacking in between our pages. The meals were wonderful, and Paul and Susie were wonderful hosts!! We can't wait to book our trip for next year and I am getting ready to book a romantic weekend with my husband. I highly recommend staying here if just for a weekend for two or for a big event with friends!

I was one in a group of 7 scrapbookers. We had a great time. The space allotted each of us was more than adequate. The food was awesome. Mr. and Mrs. Rexroth were the perfect hosts. They anticipated our needs and were very personable. They are great cooks too! It's all about the food right? We met three of their children who were so warm and friendly. We even got a mini concert on the Harp from Elizabeth! We did not want for anything! I would highly recommend this as a destination.

7 of us went for a scrapbooking retreat and had an absolutely wonderful time! The Inn at Windmere is beautiful with very luxurious bedrooms, delicious meals, very attentive hosts and a huge crafting area. We felt so pampered and cared for! We booked our next retreat before we even left! We can't wait to go back! Highly recommend this to any group or couple wanted a little get-away!!

I cannot begin to say enough good things about our stay. Our scrapbooking group was greated by Paul and Susie who helped carry our things in, gave us a tour of their wonderful home. We got settled in and got scrapping. There were snacks and beverages available for us immediately. The Inn was very clean. We had robes available for each of us. Their daughter played the harp. The food was wonderful. And if you go, I really hope you get to try the chocolate cherry almond cake, oh my!! I could go on and on... but you really must go and discover for yourself! We enjoyed our visit so much, we have already rebooked and some of us are even coming back with our spouses over the summer. Thank you Paul and Susie for your wonderful hospitality.

Our quilting group was looking for a new venue for our winter retreat and chose the Inn at Windmere based on their website. We could not have found a better place! The hosts were so accomodating and helpful. The rooms were impeccible and the meals were over the top! Our "work" area was spacious and well appointed. We cannot wait to return next year!! This would also make a wonderful romantic get-a-way!

The entire experience of staying at the Inn At Windmere was amazing. I have never felt so pampered and cherished as a guest. Susie and Paul along with their children make you feel comfortable from walking in the door. The rooms were spacious, clean, well appointed and decorated with a fine touch, down to our luxurious towels. Our meals were excellent and perfectly prepared. I am looking forward to our next visit.

We held a retreat for 9 gals on our business team. The goal was to have a location providing the opportunity to retreat, refresh and refocus as we begin a new year. We could not have had a more perfect experience. The innkeepers were so gracious and accommodating. The home was absolutely impeccably beautiful - each room inviting in it's own right. The food was delicious and plentiful. It was unanimously decided we will be returning for other events we will plan for the future! It was a wonderful weekend.

One of the better B&B's we've stayed and we have been staying in B&B's for more than 30 years. Susie, Paul and their family were wonderful hosts. Every room was clean, spacious, and comfortable with all the amenities you could want. The meals were delicious.

Outstanding in every way. Susie and Paul and their family are so welcoming. Breakfast was wonderful. I hope to be a 'regular' when I'm visiting the area.

My girlfriends and I have been coming to stay with Susie and Paul for several years now. Some of us scrapbook, some of us knit, and all of us cherish the time spent in this beautiful, peaceful haven with the Rexroth family. The rooms are lovely, the beds supremely comfortable, and there are plenty of bathrooms with lots of hot water. The Rexroths provide outstanding customer service, delicious meals, and work to fill every need, including letting us help feed the chickens! :-) To stay here is to indulge yourself in a luxurious country living atmosphere for a price so reasonable that it doesn't make sense not to come. We'll be back...and back... and back.

Our family reserved the entire inn for a reunion. As the grandmother and mother, I can truly say it was an ethereal event for Grandpa and me. Susie, Paul and family made it so! The Inn and grounds are exceptional.

This was the 25th year my family has stayed in a B & B in the fall. Inn at Windmere was probably the most comfortable and cleanest we have ever visited. Paul and Susie and their family are an inspiration to us all.

Everything about the Inn at Windmere was exceptional. We had a large family group together for the first time in many years, and the Rexroths made this reunion come together seamlessly. As someone who has traveled extensively, I can say that this Inn is a notch above most other accomodations one might find. We all give it our highest recommendation.

We have stayed at the Inn at Windmere for several years in a row during the ACD reunion and it is always excellent in service, food and cleanliness. Paul and Susie and family are the best hosts making you feel like one of the family especially when we return in the evening and they have cake and ice creame waiting.We plan to stay ther again next year as well.

After a warm welcome, we were shown to our beautiful room which had just been remodeled. The room really exceeded our expectations! Also, the country setting was peaceful and relaxing, and the owner's hospitality made us feel at home. We thought the breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

We spent a wonderful two nights at Windmere. The home and the family are so welcoming we felt truly at home. The breakfasts were outstanding and served with friendly conversation. Susie made great recommendations about where to eat and what to see in Auburn. If you are looking for beautiful country getaway the Windmere is ideal for you. We are doing "50 FunThings" for our 50th Anniversary and our stay at the Inn certainly qualified.

We stopped at the Inn at Windmere on the way from Wisconsin to Pennsylvania. Susie and Paul's Inn at Windmere lives up to its reputation -- peaceful, elegant, private and relaxing! Our guest room was quiet, clean and well appointed. Susie's full home-made breakfast was excellent. The Inn at Windmere is an exceptional Bed and Breakfast in a perfect country setting close to Auburn's auto museums.

My husband and I spent a weekend here and we enjoyed every minute. Paul and Susie were so friendly and nice to us all weekend. They went out of their way to not interrupt us all weekend and they were so helpful to us. The food they prepared for us was delicious, too! :) We highly recommend this place to anyone!

This is the 4th year that my sister and I have stayed at The Inn at Windmere for a scrapbook retreat. We look forward to our visit every summer. We are totally pampered as our every need is met. There are always extra hands to help us unload and load up our scrapbooking materials. The food and accomodations are over the top! Thanks, Rex and Susie!

Meals when you say, loads of beautiful rooms, over-the-top home cooking, and great personalities of all family members are just some of the wonderful amenities of this inn. I felt so pampered and rested after the weekend here. We had a quilting group of 9, and everything that was needed as far as tables, iron and board, and Ott lights were provided.

Susie and her family are fantastic hosts and hostesses. They’re so polite and willing to help. The food, accommodations, and services were outstanding. They spoiled us so much that none of us wanted to leave!!!! We loved it so much that we actually booked our scrapbooking weekend for next year!!!! If the spoiling above is not enough, ask asked for a facial or massage. Wow!!!

Went to the Inn at Windmere for a second scrapbooking weekend with some girlfriends and it was as fantastic as the first! Wonderful food and lots of it. Friendly and gracious hosts. A perfect space for scrapbooking with plenty of space and amenities. I am looking forward to returning for more relaxing weekends in the future!

Went for a scrapbook retreat and had a wonderful time. First retreat I have ever come back from well rested! I felt so spoiled by the end of the weekend. One of the best surprises was getting so much help unloading and loading the car with all my supplies for the weekend. Beds were so nice and comfy and we had a wonderful jet tub in the bath. Defiantly recommend this B&B

The hosts are very kind and have a calm approach toward guests. Breakfast was amazing - baked bacon, eggs, waffles with real maple syrup and homemade berry syrup (with big pieces of berry in it!), yogurt parfaits, juice, hot tea, coffee, and hashbrowns, all served on fine china. Robes, dual sinks, really great moisturizing shampoo/conditioner, and a comfy bed with floral comforter were in the Windmere Suite. This suite is also in a separate wing.

My husband and I recently celebrated our 50th weddding anniversary by staying at the Inn at Windmere. Our stay could not have been more special mostly in part to the comforts of the inn and the lovely couple who run it. They welcomed us as if we were family and shared some wonderful stories with us. We had an amazing breakfast and were served in a beautiful room with lovely table service. We felt very special and would reccomend the Inn at Windmere to anyone visiting the Auburn, Indiana area. Please consider this inn as it far exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Susie & Paul, for giving us a time to remember.

As an avid scrapbooker, this was not my first experience at a scrabooking retreat. Some have been in hotels and some in B & Bs. The Inn was the best experience by far! The food and accommodations were fabulous. Susie and Paul made our group feel right at home. Even though they are new friends, I feel like I have known them all my life. Their children are the greatest and SO musically talented! I'm already looking forward to my next stay.

The Inn was a wonderful weekend get-away. The room I stayed in was beautiful and spacious, with an attached bathroom. Paul and Susie have a wonderful home that they have turned into the bed and breakfast. Our stay involved a scrapbooking weekend, and they provided tables and lights for our use. There were six of us all together, but we were spaced out so that we were able to work and not get in each others way. Paul and Susie provided the food for breakfast, lunch and supper! And, I must say it was all delicious. They even had snacks for us in our scrapbooking roon! I would go back any time, even though it was about 7 hours from our home.

I won a two night weekend at Windmere at a scrapbooking event. Wow! Was I in for a treat! My friend and I drove from Evansville, 7 hours, and it was well worth the drive. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable. The entire house was beautifully appointed, neat as a pin, and spotless. The meals were delicious and beautifully presented. Susie and Paul were excellent hosts. We felt like we had known them forever. Their children were gracious hosts as well, carrying our luggage and scrapping gear in and out. One daughter played beautiful harp music for us. You couldn't ask for a better place to relax, scrapbook, and make new friends. The work facility was great, with lots of room to spread out scrapbooking materials to work. Highly recommended for any type retreat you might like to take. You can't find better than this!!! Judy

Stayed at the Inn for 3 nights and this is as good as it will ever get at a B&B. The rooms were comfortable and clean to a fault. The house was warm and allowed for a leisurely stay in a homelike atmosphere. Perhaps best of all were our hosts, Paul, Susie and several of their children. No details was left unattended and their desire to make our stay as enjoyable as possible was palpable in everything they did. This is truly a six star (out of 5) experience.

This is a lovely relaxing place to stay in North East Indiana. We stayed there for the Auburn , Cord, Duesenberg Automobile Festival. It is like staying at the home of good friends. The house is beautiful, the service outstanding, and the food is fantastic. The hospitality is just wonderful. I can't imagine a better Bed and Breakfast anywhere!

The Inn At Windmere is a retreat away from the hectic pace of life. I stayed there during a business trip, a pleasant change from hotel stays. My visit there gave me a chance to relax as well as take care of my commitments. The front porch with the wicker furniture including a swing is the perfect place let yourself enjoy the quietness of the area. Located on a county road but near a I-69 Interchange without the traffic noise makes the inn easily accessible. Susie serves delicious breakfast and a perfect hostess as is the whole family. You feel welcome from the time you enter their home until you depart. I definitely re-visit the inn the next time I am in the area.

We stayed in the Windmere suite. It was beautiful. Paul & Susie were gracious hosts. Delicious breakfast.

Our room and attached bath were very spacious, clean and nicely appointed. The location of the room allowed for privacy and a private entrance. Our Innkeepers, Suzie and Tom, and their family made us feel very welcome. They are friendly and accommodating, we enjoyed our fresh made lemon cake and evening coffee in the gazebo with the great country view and the sunset. And, the breakfast meals were delicious and bountiful, including eggs from their own chickens. Overall a great stay and a very handy location for exploring the sights in NE Indiana.

We really enjoyed our stay at Windmere. It was a beautiful home with such a comfortable and restful atmosphere. The breakfast was super and our hosts were so gracious. I highly recommend this place. It was indeed a restful stay for us!

My scrapbooking group visited this lovely B&B for our first ever hosted weekend, meaning all food and snacks were provided instead of making it ourselves. What an initiation! We all felt like we were on vacation! The accomodations were spacious, very clean and comfortable. Plenty of fresh smelling cushy towels and robes too if we wanted them. All the rooms have separate thermostats so we could all set the temp to our liking. The hosts were impeccable -- friendly, helpful and accomodating, but not at all intrusive. We had some special requests, and they were flexible with everything we threw at them. The food was absolutely fabulous! Home cooked meals for dinner Friday and breakfasts, and I mean everything home cooked, and plenty of it. I brought a bunch of snacks, just in case, and they all came back home with me. The scrap room was very comfortable with big sturdy tables and good chairs. A nice relaxing area for television watching was also convenient. You could watch while working, or just kick back in the chairs. We would like to make this an annual stop for our group!

I never put B&B and business trip together before, but the Inn At Windmere has changed that. Unique circumstances brought me to the beautiful home for 2 nights and I have to say I felt pampered as if I was on vacation and a bit at home by spending time with Susie, Paul and the children. Their daughter even helped me pick a tie for an important meeting I attended in Fort Wayne, and by the way she made a great choice! A wonderful family and outstanding hosts who go out of their way to make you feel at home and accomidate your every need. On my future trips to Fort Wayne I'll go back and I suggest you do as well.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Inn at Windmere. The owners were very accomiddating and made us feel very welcome in their home. The breakfast was delicious. The only reason for the rating on the room was we thought it was a little small but it was very clean and had everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again.

I just spent a weekend here with my girlfriend’s scrapbooking. I loved this place! The family, the food, and the lovely daughter that played the harp for us during dinner on Saturday night were amazing. I have stayed in several B&B’s before and none of them hold a candle to the Inn at Windmere. I would love to spend Christmas here.

Three friends and I just returned from a weekend scrapbook retreat at the Inn. We had a fabulous time and are already planning our next visit. The home is conveniently located and very easy to find. The facility is absolutely beautiful, the food and accomodations were excellent and the Rexroth family was amazing. The opportunity to view this incredible home and meet this amazing family should not be missed.

We had a church retreat for 19 ladies. The Rexroths couldn't have been more hospitable. The rooms and whole place was spotless and the food was great! Loved it!

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Inn at Windmere. The inn is in a peaceful, pastoral setting and beautifully furnished. We had our first annual women's retreat for our church at this bed & breakfast. The family who runs this inn was so serving and attentive to our needs. Every room of their inn is beautifully decorated and cozy. It is extremely clean and the food was very yummy! I would recommend their inn to anyone who would like a quiet getaway in a peaceful setting. It really made our first retreat more than special. We had 19 ladies staying at their inn at the same time, and we were all comfortable. Our meals were always right on schedule, and the meeting space available was perfect for our needs. Thank you so much for all your hard work to make our stay enjoyable!

This bed and breakfast was very clean and comfortable. There was plenty of room for the 20 women in our church retreat. Paul, Susie, and their children were amazing hosts! The price was extremely affordable. This is the perfect place to have a retreat, I can't wait to stay at the Inn at Windmere again.

I spent this past weekend at this Bed and Breakfast and had a fabulous time. My sister and I went there to scrapbook and to relax. It was wonderful! The rooms were beautiful and roomy as was the room to scrapbook in. Plenty of space everywhere. Susie made us delicious food to eat and made us feel that we were members of her own family. I highly recommend checking this inn out. I know I will be returning there again soon!!

My wife and I recently stayed at the Inn and we had an excellent experience. The pictures do not do the Inn justice! If you want to feel 'at home' I highly recommend the Inn at Windmere. The rooms are fairly priced and exquisitely decorated. Additionally you will love the home cooked breakfast that Susie provides .... Yummy!!!

My wife and I loved our two nights at the Windmere. The owners were extremely friendly and met our every need. We love the food, which was served perfectly. We can't wait to return! What a wonderful getaway!

I travelled to the Inn at Windmere for a scrapbooking weekend recently and was pleased with every aspect of my trip. The owners were gracious and available whenever needed, their place is amazingly clean and had everything we could possibly need. It was thoroughly enjoyable and I highly recommend it!

All of our expectations were met in every way. From the time we arrived to our departure, we felt at home and a part of their family. We had a two night stay in their king suite with a private bath. Our accommodations were warm, clean and very comfortable.
