Inn Details
The Garden Retreat is a small farm just outside Indianapolis. The 125-year-old farmhouse has been lovingly renovated to reflect eclectic elegance...no country, Victorian here! Surrounding the house is over an acre of perennial gardens with strolling paths. Stop along the way to enjoy the koi pond from a bench or watch for deer on the swing under the maples.
Gardenview, the king suite on the second floor, is decorated in deep browns and greens with a slight Asian flair. Step out onto the balcony that overlooks the south gardens and enjoy coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The in-suite bathroom includes a two-person shower.
Pondside, the queen suite on the first floor, is decorated with hints of art deco and art nouveau featuring prints by Louis Icart. Situated beside the koi pond, open the window at night, and be lulled to sleep by the waterfall.
Breakfast at The Garden Retreat features wholesome, Midwestern food and usually carries our guests through lunch! All of the food is prepared here in our kitchen and almost always includes homemade muffins. In the summer, we use fresh-picked tomatoes or pears right off the tree.
Although we are a wonderful destination for quiet get-aways, we still offer wireless internet. Business travelers love the opportunity to wind down after a long day on the road.
Our location is so convenient for most Central Indiana outings. I-70, I-65, I-465, I-74 are all easily accessed. Lucas Oil Stadium, Indiana Convention Center, Conseco Fieldhouse, and all the museums are less that 1/2 hour away. Stay in the country...have fun in the city. The Garden Retreat is the best of both worlds!
