Laura's Victorian Inn Bed and Breakfast

  • Laura's Victorian Bed and Breakfast was built in the late nineteenth century by Abraham and Evelyn Mier. The Miers raised two sons in the home; Everett born in 1898 and Durbin, born in 1902. Owner-operator, Laura Scott purchased the home in 2001 and has been restoring and customizing it to accommodate guests in comfort and privacy. The Inn features leather walls in the foyer from Marshall Fields in Chicago, beautiful hardwood floors and extravagant architecture throughout.

I stayed at Laura's Victorian Inn a while back and it was the best B&B I have ever stayed in. The accomodations were great but the food was even better. It was comfortable and quiet; everything I was looking for. The breakfast was great and I was lucky enough to have the famous apple dumplings and they were unbelievable. Thanks again Laura -Guaranteed Repeat Customer from Boston, MA

I took my husband to Laura's B&B for his 69th Birthday on June 12th. Laura was very accommodating with my times. She has done an outstanding job of restoring and furnishing the B&B. Very hospitable and the breaskfast was wonderful; we even had apple dumplings and ice cream for breakfast. You won't leave hungrey. We would recomend Laura's B&B to anyone looking for a great get-a-away for a night or a few days.

    Wonderful, peaceful place to stay.

Myself and 5 other ladies stayed at Laura's Inn last week. We go to Shipshewana for the flea market and her inn is a wonderful place to go after a long day of shopping and walking the flea market. Her inn is a street back from busy State Road 5, so it is very quiet and relaxing. The rooms are very nice and she has a sitting area to be used by guests as well.....and to top it off, she will even offer to make dinner for you, and for the ending of dinner- her homemade apple dumplings that are to die for. She is a wonderful hostess always trying to do what she can to make your stay a memorable one. Her son is also very helpful lugging the bags upstairs for the ladies. If you want a place for relaxation, comfort and a wonderful hostess...this is the place to go. You will feel like family when you leave and will look forward to your next visit. Don't forget the apple dumplings!!!!!!! Barbara from Michigan
