Alexandria House Bed & Breakfast

This is a great place to stay while visiting Woodstock! We were just on a road trip and wanted to see the "Groundhog Day" sites, but turns out this B&B as well as the welcoming town was the best part! The room was nice and big with lots of natural sunlight! Plus, the breakfast we were served was awesome too!!! My husband and I would go back in a heartbeat!!!

We certainly found our Ground Hog Day Adventure highly entertaining and enjoyable. The citizens of Woodstock are friendly and made us feel welcome. Their hospitality was only exceeded by our stay at the Alexandiria House. Dot, you treated us like special family and made our visit memorable. Your home is charming and the breakfast delicicious. I didn't know the area well, however, this Inn's location was great for me as I worked on my project. I stayed five days and enjoyed a different, sumptuous breakfast every morning. The innkeeper was interesting and shared stories of good times at the Inn. I felt very well taken care of and felt "cared for". All the rooms were charming, had a differing decor, and the house itself was well-appointed. When I signed in to the Visitors' Book, I noted that many notable musicians and artists stayed there as well, since the Inn is less than 3 minutes from the "Opera House" and "The Square". I would highly recommend this Inn based on: value; exceptional food, charming/comfortable rooms, period furniture, and close proximity to the Woodstock train station stop. The Innkeeper is a Chef and Artist as well, with interesting life stories to share.

It was the first time my husband and I stayed at a B&B and it was wonderful.As soon as I walked in I felt the warmth,It was as if I was home for the holidays.I actually asked the keeper if I could give her a hug!! The breakfast was enough to rave to everyone at home about!! WOW, it was great. They went beyond to make us comfortable. I highly recommend this B&B. My husband and I celebrated our Anniversay,it was perfect!!

The best weekend I have ever spent. The beautiful home, the gracious hostess and host, outstanding meals and above all the nicest town to be relaxing in and enjoying life.

If you want personal service in a warm, inviting atmosphere, with exceptional hospitality and service, stay at a B&B. You may never stay in a hotel again. The charm and nostalgia of a bygone era await in this 1860's home.

I couldn't have found a better palce to stay. I was a Flight Attendent,so I have stayed there MANY times. The food is out of this world! Dot is a wonderful host. She is a very talented women. Her meals are excelent! The house is very well decorated. Ther are lots of interesting things there. The rooms are lovely,and very clean! I felt very welcomed and realxed during my stays. I have stayed in many places all over the world and this B&B is THE BEST! I wish I had one like it in my home town!

Dot and Don, our hosts, were very welcoming and accommodating. Our room was pleasant, the whole home a treasure, and located close to the Woodstock Square.Dot served us tea & homemade cookies in the afternoon. But the very best was breakfast. It was delicious and served elegantly. The whole stay was a real treat!
