The Mansion Bed and Breakfast

I highly recommend The Mansion for a unique Fox River Vally experience. Should be especially nice for Dickens in Dundee!

Innkeeper very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, fresh squeezed orange juice was a treat! House is very historic and beautiful!

My wife and I take an early December getaway each year. Online reservations were exceedingly easy and next day personal confirmation was great. Upon arrival the pictures did not do The Mansion justice. The exterior and interior were decorated for the holidays very tastefully and it felt like a step back in time. We stayed in the Fierke suite. The room was a lot larger than we expected. The raised bed and adjoining double whirlpool impressed us. The room as was the rest of the mansion was very tidy and dust free. Steve made sure everything was attended to. Because we are early (stupid early) risers, we asked for coffee in the morning. He set up a fresh pot of coffee both days. Our best surprise was breakfast. We would have been happy with breakfast rolls, croissants and the likes... But Steve and Eda made a full breakfast that filled us until dinner. We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

This was our first time at a Bed & Breakfast and it was great. Our host was awesome and makes a delicious breakfast. The surrounding area was delightful. You walk only a couple of blocks to a charming area with restaurants and shops.

Great place in a really nice area, we had a wonderful visit. This was our first bed and breakfast experience, and it was better than we expected. The mansion is comfortable and clean, and has a somewhat old-fashioned feeling to it. There are plenty of rooms to sit and relax in. Steve was a wonderful host and the breakfasts were delicious. It's located in an ideal spot in West Dundee, just next to the quaint downtown area and river. The perfect place for a peaceful, relaxing weekend.

This is by far the best B&B I have ever stayed in. My husband and I have come back three years in a row and plan to continue that tradition. The owners are amazing and great to be around. The mansion is beautiful.

A beautiful old home just a few blocks from the Fox River and some great restaurants in West Dundee. Steve and Eda have done a wonderful job restoring this beautiful, big home. The high ceilings and the stained glass are a reminder of what things were like in another era.

The mansion is a beautiful property in a peaceful neighborhood, which is walking distance from a few great restaurants and chocolate shop. Steve, the owner, was very hospitable and nice to talk to, as well. We had a great stay there.

The location was perfect and future stays will give us an opportunity to explore more of West Dundee. Restaurants were very close, within walking distance. Hospitality, from our arrival to a lovely breakfast coupled with lively conversation with our host, was excellent. Our room was perfect for the two of us, with the only concern being the height of the entry to the tub/shower. Entry and exit to the Mansion, and parking, were very easy.

Beautiful, cozy home! Full of old world charm and modern amenities. Very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was fantastic and Steve was a wonderful friendly host.

We loved our stay here. Steve gave us such a warm welcome. We unfortunately did not get to meet Eda, who is a wonderful cook, but we just loved the stay- we stayed at the super romantic John Fierke room. The house has such an amazing history at 103 years old! Thank you again!

When ever I travel I stay at a B&B if possible. I looked at several in the area before settling on the Mansion. The website doesn't do such an interesting building justice. Steve was very friendly and gracious to answer all my questions. It was clear Steve has a love of preservation and does his best to keep the B&B authentic. I was very surprised at the delicious breakfasts. I have been disappointed so often in the past. The highlight of my trip to work Chicago was staying at the Mansion.

Stayed at the Mansion while on a recent business trip. The location, tucked away in a gorgeous neighbohood is a two block walk from West Dundee's downtown. Restaurants, shopping and more are all within a very short walk. The owner was very courteous and helpful and made a fantastic breakfast in the morning. Looking forward to my next visit to the area!

My husband and I had a great time here--the building is absolutely beautiful and our room was lovely. Very quiet, pretty, and relaxing. I definitely recommend it.

My wife and I have stayed at a handful of B&B's over the last two years. The Mansion did not disappoint. Our host was extremely friendly. He informed us of all the things to do in the area, and cooked up a wonderful breakfast. The Mansion itself was a treat. Combining modern amenities with the charm of the early 1900's made for a very enjoyable stay. We will be back.

This was our third stay at The Mansion and we always enjoy it. It is a beautiful place. Everything was delightful except we felt the pillows were too worn and we didn't care for the hazelnut flavored coffee.

My wife and I went to the Mansion B&B for our 13th wedding anniversary. The building looks amazing. The interiors are spacious, yet cozy. Our room, which included a balcony, private whirlpool, lav and a sitting room, was great. Steve was very friendly and accommodating. Eda's breakfast was delicious (I assume it was her, although I never did see her.) I would recommend the Mansion to anyone who wants to get away for the weekend without spending a ton of money, or having to go far from Chicago.

Steve, the host at Mansion B & B, was accommodating and helpful. The room was clean and the house quiet at the time we visited. The breakfast as outstanding. My only complaint is that check in was 4 p.m. and check-out 11 a.m. leaving us with a less than 24 hour stay. I don't usually splurge on a bed and breakfast and would have appreciated a 24-hour stay for the price we paid.

The innkeeper was very friendly and the breakfast was yum. We highly recommend this b&b to any couple!

What a charming B&B! Steve the owner was wonderful and extremely informative. Breakfast was fantastic, (unfortunately my boyfriend and I had eaten to much the night before.) everything was delicious. I would highly recommend this B&B for a getaway anytime!!
