We have stayed here several times over the past two years and each time is the same... excellent! Toni is always very accommodating to our requests. We duck hunt on the Mississippi and this is a nice place to stay after a long, cold, hard day out on the water. Always clean, warm, and spacious. Although we don' t take advantage of the meals as we're out before dawn we did stop in for some pumpkin bread downstairs at the Sweet Life. We'll definitely keep coming back.

Not your typical b & b. This one is above a bakery with a great view of the Mississippi out the back. There is a nearby train track which didn't bother us and would have been fun to watch from the back porch if we were there in warmer weather. The place was spotless and large. Our hostess was very helpful. Very comfortable bed and pillows.

Tony McCombie is a great innkeeper, and her bed and breakfast exceeded our expectations! It was well decorated. The bed was comfy. The atmostsphere was divine, and it was prestinely clean. The Sweet Life Bakery and Cafe downstairs where we ate was scrumptious. The view at our bedroom's window of the Mississippi was much appreciated, and added to our experience. Tony gave suggestions of where we could eat, and even watch "our Hawkeyes" game there at the B & B. We still chose to watch the game from the comfort of our cozy living room area. It made for the perfect get-away.

My husband I recently stayed at the Blue B & B after a days ride on the bike. The owner went above and beyond the call of duty, ensuring the room was cool after such a hot day in the sun. The inn had all the amenities we needed and its location to the center of town made it easy for us to interact with the friendly people from Savanna. To top it off, the breakfast and morning conversation was great - we will be back....thanks for much for making a short vacation so relaxing!

What a great place! This was our second time staying here. It's the perfect spot for a fun Savanna (and area) weekend. You can walk to a ton of cool restaurants and bars. Tony gave us lots of great suggestions. I love this town and this B&B. I'll be back! Lauren

we love this place! The rooms are always very clean, the air is always turned down nice and low which feels great after coming in from a long day's ride on the motorcycle! Tony goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome - it's the perfect location too - right on the main street walking distance from all the bars and restaurants. You won't be disappointed!!

We Love The Blue B & B!! We discovered the Blue B & B - Quite by accident, if you will A friend got sick and cancelled - For us it was quite a thrill The view of the river is fantastic - While watching barges is fun The grain trucks on Saturday morning - Unloading grain, ton after ton Then there's the locomotive whistle - As they roar by on their daily run My wife is a fitful sleeper - Who loves beauty and anything unique She can't get enough of Savanna - She wants to go stay for a week We love the big bedroom - Tony has everything ready and clean She'll even cook you breakfast - But all we wanted was caffeine She had water in the refrigerator - And place to cool our ale The price I felt was reasonable - Compared to a motel, it's the holy grail You're right downtown Savanna - With antique shops and places to eat In fact, right down stairs is a restaurant - With food that's hard to beat Just in case you're wondering - We've stayed there at least 5 straight years Totaling 3 or 4 nights each time - So these are not just idle cheers And yes, we have our reservation - For a stay we've planned for next June But we might make a trip this fall - Because for us, it can't be too soon!! My husband and I stayed at Blue B and B in early June 2011. We received a four-star experience for a two-star price. I enjoyed sitting on the back deck with a glass of wine and just watching the Mississippi roll.

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to take a few days to take a bike trip along the Mississippi and found The Blue B & B the perfect place to rest and relax between the miles put on earlier in the day. Once we settled in to the relaxing home environment, we were able to walk around town and take in much of the tremendous atmosphere offered in Savanna. It was an especially hot day and the rooms were set to cool off and enjoy a very relaxing evening of much needed sleep. Then, the next morning, the breakfast was tremendous and the conversation was even better. We would highly recommend The Blue B & B if you are looking for that special place to relax and enjoy all that Savanna has to offer

We stayed over the 4th of July weekend and had an absolutely wonderful time! The owner is one of the nicest ladies you will meet! Clean and great food! We live in Wisconsin and we will be back! I recommend this B&B to everyone!

We stayed at The Blue Bed & Breakfast in Savanna, IL on a weekend get-away and this place was perfect! It was quaint, easily accessible, the perfect location and had an amazing river view. Upon arrival, we found the owner had taken extra efforts to make our stay more comfortable, including extra refrigerated bottled water. Our room was quiet, clean and so comfortable. We specifically enjoyed having access to the full kitchen as we prepared ourselves a little snack late one evening. We had a terrific home-cooked breakfast the next morning and once again, the owner went out of her way to make sure we have the perfect day planned and directions to every destination for the upcoming day. We visit Savanna at least 3 times a year and we are looking forward to our next stay at The Blue Bed and Breakfast!!!

We were disappointed with the accomodations. There was no place to call our own as we shared the apartment with the innkeeper (including bathroom, kitchen, and living room). The breakfast was uninspired, cold, overcooked eggs and hard french toast. The outdoor chairs were dirty and rusted. Overall, this B&B didn't make us feel special or provide any amenities to enhance our stay. I cannot recommend this B&B.
I am so sorry to just be responding to this review - I just saw it last night and it made me sick! I don't remember this particular stay as I have not had any guests show any signs of a bad experience!! It is often that the Inn Keeper is present when staying at a B&B, however maybe just a little to close for comfort for you! So sorry that the breakfast was lacking - I can only hope that it was just a bad day and that the clean plates that I often see is a good sign. We hope that you try us again and we can "Inspire" you to become a regular!! Please accept my sincere apology. Tony

What a treat! For business or pleasure, this is the only place my family wants to stay when we are near the Mississippi River. Utterly gracious hospitality, comfy, clean and spacious. Lots to do in the area. Highly recommended!
