My wife and I stayed at Mission Oak in back in December of 2012. We thoroughly our stay and plan on making a return visit. Denny and Jan are amazing hosts. The food was fantastic and the scenery was perfect. I highly recommend Mission Oak Inn, as it has been one of our favorite bed and breakfasts that we have ever experienced...

Denny and Jan have a beautiful home they openly share with their guests. The room was immaculate!! I notice minute details and this home far exceeded by expectations. Denny is a great cook for dinner and breakfast. Together they are wonderful hosts. Choose this B&B if you want a quiet relaxing get away. Only wish we could have stayed another night. We will be back.

My wife and I had our second daughter and we'd been working and parenting and juggling schedules for seven months. My 40th birthday was approaching, and we wanted to get away somewhere in-state (Illinois). Mission Oak was so perfect for us in every way. The property is beautiful and secluded; the home is amazing; our room was excellent and we were able to relax! Highly recommended!

Located on 120 acres and very off the "beat and path", Mission Oaks Inn was a great place to go and leave everything behind. The grounds are lovely! The room is a suite, with a fireplace and whirlpool that almost pull you in and call you to relax. We played games; we watched the hundreds of birds that clearly know who has feeders always filled up (:))); we did a wine tasting in the small town of Lacon 15 minutes or so away. Along with relaxing, we had our palates overflowing with Denny's great food. We were met at the door Friday evening (after a later arrival than expected) with dessert. We had cookies left in the room each day. And breakfast -- oh my. We love staying in B & Bs, and we've stayed in many across the US. BY FAR, this was the best breakfast we've had. The food is overflowing, the service is incredible (thanks, Jan!!!) and the talk while watching the many kinds of birds feeding and seeing the sun and clouds over the lake -- makes for a great morning. We also did the dinner package and helped cook Cornish hens and other goodies. We went home with leftovers, with a cookbook and a cutting board made by Denny in his wood shop, and with a sense of calm. We definitely plan another visit - as did countless others who wrote in the journals and/or on these review pages.

Stayed during the fall of 2012. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary there. Absolutely LOVED IT!! Wish I could give it 6 stars. The hospitality is beyond outstanding, Denny is an AMAZING chef, and the accommodations were spotless. Look forward to returning someday.
