After looking at the numerous places to stay in Galena, my wife and I picked the Queen Anne. So glad we made the choice! Mike is an excellent host, he knew so much history about the home and city. It was a pleasure to sit and talk to him about what to do during our stay. The breakfast in the mornings exceeds the hype! It is a perfect way to start your day of seeing the sights. I would most definitely recommend the Queen Anne to friends and family that are looking for somewhere to stay in Galena.

We had a great stay at the Queen Ann Guest House. The food was outstanding and it the service was excellence. We were only less than a 10 minutes walk from all of the sites.

This was our first time in Galena and our first time at a B&B, we truly loved the experience! Mike and Anita were very friendly and full of information for us. The best part of the visit was the amazing breakfasts that we enjoyed. Top notch!

My daughter and I just loved this B & B. We arrived at 4:00 p.m. Mike gave us a tour of his beautiful home and told us there was a parlor party at 5:00! We were served snacks and juices and Mike told us about the history of this lovely Victorian home. It was so relaxing. When we got back from dinner we were greated by a tea cart just outside our door with the most flavorful teas we have ever tasted! In the morning, our breakfast was wonderful! I have been to many B& B s in Galena and this one is top notch! Just a short walk to shopping too!

IMO the most important part of a B&B stay is the owner. Luckily, the owners of this awesome 19th century house, Mike and Anita, did not disappoint. They were very welcoming and extremely nice. Anita was a wonderful and entertaining cook. She dished out a broiled & salted grapefruit and a fried egg lentil salad with buttered toast for breakfast that was extremely delicious and I don't usually even like grapefruit! The house itself is very rich in history and Mike was happy to tell us all about it. Beautiful furnishings, stained glass windows, and there's even a large sword on the wall. I'm a guy, and guys love swords. My wife and I stayed in the Lady Ashley room. It used to be the nursery of the house so it is the smallest room but that fact by no means diminishes how great the room is. It is beautiful and cozy, just the way we like it. I'm not a super fan of huge open rooms so it was perfect for us. The room is connected to what used to be the servant's quarters (and is now the bathroom) which is a fairly decent size and sports a large jacuzzi/bathtub. Everything was very clean and tidy. Overall our stay was very enjoyable, the hosts were great and Galena itself is a great town with lots of wineries and shops to explore. Go check it out! -Travis from Peoria
