Our Victorian Queen Anne style B & B is situated 4 blocks from Main Street where the historic shops and restaurants of Galena begin. You'll be served our award winning gourmet breakfast each morning. From our lodging you may stroll downtown or to the Grant Home or Grant's Park. During your stay you can relax and enjoy the early morning and late evening beverages featured on our tea cart. Our Parlor Party is a time when guests will receive treats and have an opportunity to visit with other guests and the innkeepers. Our open areas include two parlors, library, dining room and two porches. We have Dish TV featuring numerous movie channels, videos, DVD's, Cd's, books and games for your enjoyment. This was a good place for a weekend getaway. We were able to park the car when we arrived and walk everywhere we wanted to go. The owner shared some favorite restaurants suggestions - we tried a couple and they were great. Ashes the porch cat is cute! Thanks

Beautiful house in a good Galena location - away from the busy part of town but an easy walk across the pedestrian bridge. Room small but nicely set up, good television in room, bed comfortable, bathroom attractive and very clean. Some nice extras, like a pitcher of ice water on arrival, coffee on the landing outside the room in the morning. I have two complaints about things that might not bother everyone but were definitely issues for us. First, the windows in the room could not be opened. The storm windows were in place, and it's obvious that they never take them off. This was a great disappointment to me - to have to use an air conditioner when the weather outside was perfect. Second, there is one time for breakfast: 8:30. No flexibility on that. Sunday morning...8:30 breakfast...have mercy. I recommend calling ahead to check on any details that are important to you.

The home is wonderful, with a lot of neat little bits of history from old books to things on the wall. As history nerds, my wife and I really enjoyed that aspect of the Queen Anne. Mike is a wonderful guy, very interesting, and makes you feel at home right away. The food was wonderful and the room was lovely. I would very much recommend the Queen Anne to anyone staying in Galena. The home itself is just around the corner from downtown Galena.

Completely remodeled in 2010, this romantic room served as the nursery. It has an antique headboard and queen bed, an beautiful sitting chair, High def 32" Dish TV w/movie channels and dvd player. 2 small tables with a cd alarm clock by the bed side and dresser. The large bathroom was once the servant's quarters and has a 2 person whirlpool, electric fireplace, bath salts and a CD stereo.

We stayed in the Lady Ashley room--a bit claustrophobic--but the large jacuzzi tub was nice in the bathroom. Breakfast was delightful. Walking distance to downtown shopping/dining.

This was our first visit at a bed and breakfast it was wonderful it exceeded our expectations! The room we stayed in was The Lady Ashley it was a beautiful room and very clean, the bed was very comfortable. The jacuzzi was big enough for two to sit in comfortably. The breakfast was great I ate foods that I normally wouldn't eat, but Mike made them very delicious! We would defanately stay there again. The walk to downtown was so easy and fast. My only regret was I forgot to buy a cookbook.

My husband and I really enjoyed staying at the Queen Anne House.It is a beautiful home and the owners are super nice.The food was delicious!The day we left we received a special blessing that was typed and rolled up for us to read individually.I thought that was such a nice touch and showed the kindness and love in the owners hearts that they wanted to share with each person who stayed at the B&B.Thank you so much!
