Surrounded by eleven peaceful acres, Belle Aire Mansion, is a tranquil home away from home. Built in the mid- 1800's,this Southern style mansion is one of the oldest in the Galena area. Once an old farm house, Belle Aire has been a bed and breakfast inn for 23 years. Your innkeepers, Jan and Lorraine Svec, have been welcoming guests for 21 of those years. Their guests comfort is their biggest concern and they offer experienced personal service, providing rooms with romance and relaxation in mind. Cuddle up in a suite with a warm fireplace opposite a soothing double whirlpool, or choose an antique-filled room just to your liking. My boyfriend and I stayed here over the Martin Luther King Day holiday to ski on Chestnut Mountain. Jan and Lorraine made us feel like we were staying with family! The food was great, the house clean and super cute, they were flexible with our accommadations and gave us great reccomendations! We will definitely stay here again!

The inn is set back from the highway, and is very quiet and peaceful. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone planning a visit to Galena. The only drawback (a minor one) is that it is located a short distance from town and as a consequence you have to drive (and find a parking place) when you want visit the shops or go out to eat.

You could have not asked for a better host. The couple took us to the downtown area so we wouldn't have to be in traffic. The breakfast was outstanding. I wish we could have stayed a few more days.

The innkeepers were friendly and the room itself was as described. However, the inn was billed as "eleven secluded acres," which couldn't be further from the truth. It's on the main drag surrounded by fast food and other businesses. It was a fine place, but not what we expected.
