We are located in the historic district of Galena, we are a short 4 block stroll through Grant Park o Main Street,shops and restaurants. Situated on a quiet street, surrounded by the grounds Ulysses Grant once used to train his troops, the Aldrich House depicts Galena as it was in the time of grand soirees and celebrations often held in the home for U.S. Grant and Abe Lincoln. This 1845 Greek Revival home has five gracefully appointed guest rooms all with private baths. A screened side porch overlooks the gardens and provides a warm weather haven for those seeking relief from the stresses of city life.

    I love this place. Very comfortable and quiet, the hosts are very nice. If I have a chance, I may stay there again.
