Hi there I stayed in the English Cottage in January 2012 I was looking for a place to get away and relax alone well I found it! The cottage is very nicely decorated and relaxing with a wonderful jacuzzi tub surrounded by windows with a view of the Mississippi river which I enjoyed a lot especially watching the sunset from it. The cottage has a fireplace a galley kitchen a dining table and sitting area all very cozy and convenient. The double head in the large shower was very nice and appreciated. I really enjoyed the breakfast served to my cottage the food was quite delicious! My check in was easy and quck and I was greeted warmly anytime I went to the Inn front desk.

Everything about the Goldmoor Inn is exceptional. From the moment you turn into the drive and see the spectacular castle-like building, to the rooms, the food, the view over-looking the Missipppi River, and the hospitality and welcoming feel that everyone at the Goldmoor extends to you. And only a short drive to downtown Galena. An experience not to be missed.
Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I have stayed here before and thoroughly enjoyed it. The rooms are gorgeous and have everything you need or want in them. Breakfast is fantastic and comes with the room which we love! We can start the day out with a great meal and hit downtown Galena for Christmas deals! Thank you Goldmoor!

Quiet, secluded and very romantic getaway at the Goldmoor Inn in Galena, IL is just the ticket for New Years Eve or Anniversary. Its very clean and well kept. Lots of amenities in the room and complimentary breakfast in your room or in the dining area inside the Inn is very good.

It was the perfect get away for my husband and I. The staff was so polite and helpful. I absolutely loved my spa experience. But the room...WOW. The room was tremendous, luxurious and absolutely perfect. We were trying to figure out when we would come back before we even left.
