Now with three guest rooms as well as a two-room suite, University Quarters Bed & Breakfast & Suites occupies the 1st and 2nd Floors of a lovely, vintage, totally updated greystone one-half block from The University of Chicago campus and close to McCormick Place and the Loop. The 1st Floor, including three guest rooms, can also be reserved as a private, full-floor suite. University Quarters Bed & Breakfast & Suites is perfect for parents, prospective students, professors, McCormick Place visitors, and business and vacation travelers to Chicago. Our B&B offers the amenities of a good hotel with the intimacy, warm hospitality, and personal touch that a hotel cannot provide. The diverse neighborhoods surrounding the campus are among Chicago's most beautiful and historic -- close to Lake Michigan and a short drive or train to McCormick Place, Soldier Field, Chicago's Museum Campus, the Art Institute, and The Loop. A generous full breakfast is served each morning. Free, high-speed, wireless and cable Internet access. University Quarters Bed & Breakfast & Suites is a short walk to all departments of The University of Chicago and its Medical Center. The B&B is one block from a city CTA bus stop, including a bus to Midway Airport, and four blocks from a Metra train for a 10-minute ride to McCormick Place and an 18-minute ride to The Loop and Chicago events. You will be a short walk or taxi ride to Hyde Park's businesses and restaurants and to The University of Chicago's Oriental Institute Museum, Court Theatre, Smart Museum, and Renaissance Society Museum. And close by are Frank Lloyd Wright's Robie House, the Museum of Science and Industry, the Hyde Park Art Center, and the DuSable Museum of African American History. There is a sociable resident cat, Tuxedo, and our very gentle English Mastiff, Lulu, will visit with permission.

Peter and Paula made us feel at home in their gorgeously decorated B&B. Everyone who worked there and all the other guests who stayed there were equally as friendly. The added bonus was Tuxedo, the wonderfully friendly cat! I've already stayed 3 times and plan many more visits.

We stayed at Peter and Paula Schuler's bed and breakfast on a college trip to the University. The rooms were clean, the owners were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very healthy with good variety. There was a pleasant family feeling among the guests. Hightly recommended.

We definitely had a lovely visit while we were there. We were very comfortable in the house, and the bed was wonderful. It’s the best sleep I’ve had in weeks!! We are looking forward to a repeat visit sometime in the future. Thank you so much for helping to make our getaway weekend so comfortable and relaxing. After having had a particularly stressful week at work, it was just what we needed!!

I chose this B&B due to the proximity to University of Chicago as my daughter was moving into an apartment. The owners were lovely and the atmosphere was immediately welcoming. I was so thrilled to have my breakfast made for me while I was seated in the breakfast nook! I hope to visit again. :)

    Friendly, homey, and convenient!

We came for a weekend workshop at the Institute of Christ the King Catholic Church just a few blocks away. We chose the Inn for convenience, but had a wonderfully relaxed experience in addition. Peter and Paula were terrific and helpful hosts who directed us to good eating places near the University of Chicago campus. The Inn felt like a home away from home! Recommended.
