Since parking can be costly anywhere in downtown Chicago we chose to stay in Wicker Park and ride the train into downtown. Wicker Park Inn made that so easy to do. We had easy street parking right in front of our B&B and we were about 4 blocks from the train station. Our room was large and our private bath was very nice. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Chicago.

This was our first visit. We needed a place to stay close to where our daughter lives. Wicker Park Inn was an excellent choice. We stayed in the Cape Cod room. It was perfect for us. The management is very nice and responsive. The breakfast items always fresh and made for a relaxing morning. We will definitely stay again.

I usually stay downtown Chicago on buisness trips but this time I needed to be in the Wicker Park area so I tried a non-chain option and was thrilled with the find. Not only could I walk to everywhere I needed to go, the free time was filled with wonderful new restaurants, and very interesting shopping opportunities. Since my wife joined me on this trip, that was very important. When I did have to run to downtown, it was a quick and easy drive. Our accomodations allowed me to work from the room as well as relax in the evening and not feel like I was stuck in a hotel room. The value compared to where I usually stay was remarkable. Better accomodations, street parking (included), and a lovely neighborhood that invites an evening stroll. I definitely will be staying here again.

The location of the inn was its greatest draw. Perfectly nesseled between Milwaukee ave. and division street. Short walks to damen and north ave. The inn it's self was very clean and organized. Quiet and low key, it felt like we were staying at a friends house for the weekend. Discount on room rate if paying with cash. I will definitely be a return customer and will be recommending the inn to every one I know.

My friend and I enjoyed our visit immensely. The space is clean, the staff is friendly, and the location is in a great neighborhood near many shops, restaurants and bars. It's also close to the CTA station. I'd recommend Wicker Park Inn to anyone visiting Chicago.

I am a 50ish woman traveling alone. I went to Chicago to visit family in the area. I very much enjoyed the inn. Staff were friendly and competent. I had a kitchen in my room and ate breakfasts I made myself so didn't have that supplied by the inn. Very much enjoyed that they specifically said they would do the dishes!! I was in the blue line room and it is true that you can hear the train go by. It never woke me. I found it a pleasant whirr and it didn't bother me. They also have a special white noise clock that offered fun alternatives to silence. I particularly enjoyed "thunder." Bed and linens very comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower. Good storage for clothes and bags. I would have appreciated stronger lighting for reading and work. Also an easy chair. (There were two bistro chairs and a table for eating and work.) I would also have liked a fan, but to be fair I never requested one; it's possible they had them but just not in my room. Close to restaurants, shopping and the El. Manager was quick to give maps and other info at check-in. 5% discount with cash; payment at check-in. Quaint and charming neighborhood a block away from busier street. I used Uber to get around and had excellent and inexpensive service. Would HIGHLY recommend looking into that app.

The Inn was ideal for us being a short train ride from downtown, and a real change from the usual chain hotel/motel option. We got a lot of useful local advice on places to eat and drink from the girl who booked us in. The only down side that we found is that it is very close to the train line which was noisy as they went past.

At O'Hare Airport, follow the signs that read 'Trains to the City'. You will need to purchase a fare card from one of the several machines before entering the turnstyles. You can purchase a single fare for $2. Take any train leaving the O'Hare station and continue to the Damen station (about 35 minutes.) When you leave the train, walk down the stairs, turn left and continue to Milwaukee Avenue, and then turn right. Continue down Milwaukee to Wolcott Avenue (by 7Eleven & Walgreens Pharmacy) and turn right onto Wolcott. The first street on your left is Wicker Park Avenue, and the Inn is located just a few houses down on the left.
