Brand new in 2007 – Ruby Room is one of Chicago's most unique overnight destinations. Just 8 minutes from downtown, in the heart of historic Wicker Park's restaurant, shopping and nightlife scene.
By design, Ruby Room is neither a Hotel nor a typical B&B. If you’re looking for a typical Hotel or B&B setting, we are not the best choice. Our concept is that of relaxation. For this reason, we do not offer telephones or televisions. We do not offer 24 hour reception or bellman services. We make a practice of not entering your room during your stay, unless requested. Ruby Room is a historic property and does not offer an elevator. Please keep this in mind, if you or any of your guests have a challenge with mobility.
What we do offer are outrageously comfortable pillow top mattresses with 500 thread count linens, large marble and glass showers, 4 of which are equipped with commercial steam units along with complimentary AVEDA products. Crown molding and fine woodworking throughout. Modern furniture peppered with antiques, new community kitchen, gorgeous garden with waterfall and all a part of a day spa, hair salon, yoga studio, three retail boutiques and a serene healing sanctuary. Complimentary WIFI access is also available throughout the property. If you're looking for something super clean and relaxing, we offer a restful room attached to a unique spa in a super cool neighborhood. That’s it. Our spa and all its amenities are available for you to enjoy at your leisure, if desired.
Note: If you are making reservations for another party, it is imperative they read these guidelines prior to their arrival. Ruby Room will not be accountable for guests not reading about our concept or our guidelines. We hope to see you soon!

There are far too many excellent restaurants in our neighborhood for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night snacks. We are located directly on "restaurant row". We are happy to point you in the right direction based on your tastes from comfort food to fine dining to vegetarian to some of the best steaks in the world (no kidding).
Policies
- Minimum stay required (Friday-Sunday there is a two day minimum requirement)
- Smoking is not allowed (Ruby Room is a smoke free facility)
- Limited accommodations for guest pets
- Accommodations are not suitable for children
- No childcare is provided
- Deposit amount required (A deposit of one nights stay is required.)
- Check in time is 3:00-6:00 pm and Check out time is 11:00
- Cancellations:
If your reservation is cancelled before 12:00 noon CST two weeks prior to your stay, a full refund is provided. Any cancellations that fall within the two week window will result in a full charge of your reserved stay. If we are able to rent the suite, we are happy to provide a full refund. No shows are charged the full cost of your reserved stay. Any guests terminating their stay prior to their agreed upon check out date will be charged the full cost of their reserved stay. If you are making reservations for someone else, the credit card given at time of reservation is the credit card that will be used for any and all room charges.
