The perfect gift for every occasion

  • View of the old log house from across the meadow.
Early nineteenth century antiques fill the bedroom downstairs. The walls are covered in the original 1800's whitewash.
Antique children's playthings await your visit to the upstairs bedroom. A cozy hideaway to read a good book or listen to the rain on the tin roof.
An old log house in Illinois wouldn't be complete without paying tribute to our 16th president. The last farm of Abraham Lincoln's parents is just a few miles south of the Inn.

Nestled on 100 acres of picturesque woodlands and meadows, The Osage Inn offers seclusion and a peaceful country retreat. Journey back in time at The Osage Inn, a lovingly restored Civil War era hewn log house. The Inn is furnished in an eclectic collection of mid-nineteenth century antiques and vintage treasures with just the right amount of modern amenities to provide warmth and comfort. Visitors to the Inn will have the log house to themselves. Total and complete privacy with no schedule but their own. The old log house features a quaint and comfortable sitting room and bedroom downstairs with a queen bed. There are a full bed and twin bed upstairs. A lovely new addition to the rear of the original log structure houses the fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. Wander out on the big front porch for that first cup of coffee in the morning. In the evening, sit around the beautiful fire pit and listen to the night sounds while enjoying the stars overhead. The Osage Inn will soothe your spirit. We are truly off the beaten path.

    Relaxing and Charming!

    May 06, 2013

I love this litle log cabin. We stayed here four years in a row when my son was attending Eastern University. The peace and tranquility is unbelieveable being out in the country. WHen you wake up in the early morning, you can see all the deer and other animals grazing beautifully on the premises. I did not think my husband would survive without TV but he did. I recommend it hightly

Charming, historic, serene, oasis in the midst of chaotic modern world. Fresh baked goods provided by Diane, the innkeeper extraordinaire. Cannot rate the Osage Inn highly enough. Six stars!

We found the Inn to be the right combinaton of rustic charm with a down home warmth that just can't be found anywhere else. A true one of a kind place made even more special with the innkeepers personal touch. Our favorite place without a doubt!
