Built in 1916 in Georgian revival style, Bishops Hall was once a bishop’s residence. Located in historic Oak Park, it is set amongst the most significant concentration of Frank Lloyd Wright homes, including Wright’s own home and studio. Furnished in a gracious Georgian style, the gardens also complement its architectural style. Current owners spent a decade restoring the house. The level of quality and detail, while astonishing, is all for your enjoyment. This care is also behind the services to make you feel not only a like very important guest, but the owner of the home.

I am a convert! Absolutely amazing...

    January 16, 2013

To be honest, I was a bit skeptical when I was set to stay at this location. I had never stayed in a bed and breakfast and was concerned about a number of things such as privacy, internet access, freedom to come and go, etc. I can safely say that Chuck and Sam put each and every reservation to rest. The check-in was painless and they took me to my room. I was absolutely awestruck by the beauty and ammenities. I did receive an upgrade and, I hate to say, am probably spoiled for life. The room was huge; with the bedroom coupled with a sitting room and office area (including a gas fireplace), a seperate dressing room/ closet, a gigantic bathroom with a walk-in steam shower. The decorations were beautiful and it all had a very "at home" feel. The bed was firm (just as I prefer) and it was very quiet and peaceful. I woke the next morning as calm and rested as I can ever remember. The breakfast was excellent; they met my special dietary needs and it was very tasty. Even the breakfast room was calming. The rest of the house was immaculately clean and decorated to amazing detail. All in all, I honestly can't remember a couple of nights on the road in which I enjoyed the time after hours as much. I feel refreshed, recharged, and look forward to returning in the near future. Thank you, Chuck and Sam, for making me feel so welcome and "at home". Blessing on you as you continue this amazing service and hospitality. Ken
