My wife and I had a great experience here at Jeni J's! Nancy was great to visit with and gave us a quick run down of the town and where things were located. The onsite dining rating is lower just because they don't offer breakfast, but based on where they are located they really don't need to. The options for meals and entertainment in this quaint river town was amazing. We stayed in the wharf suite and it was really nice. Very clean, tidy and well stocked for whatever you might need. I highly recommend staying here and will be back in the future.

We stayed in the "Owner's Suite" on a Sunday night. Jeni was very pleasant and it was great to have a private suite plus a large deck overlooking the Mississippi - but bring bug spray!

My husband and I stayed in the owner's suite for a night away. It was so cute! The deck outside was fantastic as well. Great location within walking distance of so many places. The owners were so nice and fun to talk to as well! Definitely planning to go back and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Grafton!

Overall my husband and I would cone back and stay here. After I booked, I received a phone call from the owner welcoming me and gave me her cell phone so that if there's anything I needed at or even prior to my arrival to call her. I loved that!! The reason I rated the dining poor is because a bed and breakfast typically includes breakfast. They don't do that here. In my mind thats why breakfast is at the end. Great place otherwise and we would stay here again in an instant.

Great Location, Great Service. Can't beat the prices or the location when in Grafton. Charming Units.

Our stay at Jeni J's could not have been better. There were 3 couples and the Cardinal Cottage worked perfectly for us. The location was wonderful, walking distance to pretty much anywhere we wanted to go. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in the Owner's Suite. It was perfect for a couple's night's getaway in Grafton. Location was great, right on the main road by 3rd Chute, Piasa winery and Grafton Oyster Bar. It was super clean. The deck was a hit! We sat out and listened to the live music from across the street with a view of the river! The owner was super nice, checking to see if we needed anything. She even found some bug candles for us to use. We'll definitely stay here again! Not one complaint!

I must say I was impressed from the minute I met Nancy. She greeted me oth a hug and I instantly felt as if she was a long lost friend. Her store was awesome and her boutique was screaming for me to buy everything in it! The cottage was just fabulous. I mean every detail was in place. When we walked in there was champagne on ice, a nice fire in the fireplace going along with music. I was in comfort mode as soon as I walked in. The view of the river was awesome. A nice cup of tea while sitting in the rocking chair just enhanced the relaxation and view. Nancy was very acommodating. Anything I could ever want or need Nancy was there. I would have to say I am a proud St. Louisan and this is the hidden jewel of the metro area. Rent this place and you will not be sorry. I will be returning quite often.

We love to watch the eagles and this was a perfect place to stay! Right out our window a huge tree stood and an eagle sat there for two hours! The room was very clean and delightful! The owner was very nice to us, and I would stay there again!

We had never been to the area and we're driving 4 1/2 hours to come to a wedding on the same day. Nancy Jo was amazing and let us check in two hours prior to their normal check in time so that we would have time to get ready and make it to the wedding. The room was amazing, it exceeded my expectations. There were so many places for us to go to that were within walking distance, and view of the river was outstanding. The town of Grafton had so much charm. We encountered so many friendly people and so much beautiful scenery that we will definitely be back. Jeni j's Will definitely be where we stay again

We had a wonderful stay in the one bedroom cottage. The cottage was decorated very nicely. The kitchen being stocked with utensils and glassware was really handy. Great location...walking distance to anything you'd want to do. We will definitely be staying at Jeni J's again in the future!!!

Nancy greeted us at the Guest House and that set the mood for a very memorable stay. A beautiful place to stay, with a touch of St. Louis baseball, well stocked kitchen and a remarkable bedroom. Within walking distance to winery, shops, and restuarants. The river and marina is right across the street and the Grafton "Rendevous" made this a fantastic, memorable, and romantic getaway. We will be back!! Thanks again Nancy, for providing the "spark"!! J & J

Jeni-J's is the place to stay when in the Grafton area. The Owner's Cottage far exceeded my expectations. The décor, the cleanliness, the comfortable accommodations - everything was fantastic. Nancy, the owner, is a personable and inviting woman. She puts you at ease right from the start. I didn't get a chance to shop in her boutique, but saw items that definitely would have been purchased. Thanks Nancy and Jeni-J's - the best.

Mike and Nancy Wilson are gracious and courteous hosts. They always go above and beyond to guarantee your Grafton stay will be spectacular. All of their cottages are immaculate, comfortable, homey, and very affordable. They are centrally located to all there is to do in Grafton, and roomy enough to stay in and entertain if you prefer. Be assured that whether you're looking for a getaway for two or a party for a group, Jeni J's should be your home away from home in Grafton! Note: Jeni J's does not serve food, but all rooms have dishes, flatware, mugs, glasses, refrigeration, microwaves, and/or a stove/oven for guest use.

This was our first trip to Grafton and our stay at Jeni J's made it memorable. Nancy was so warm and welcoming and our cottage (Wharf Suite) was perfectly located for our stay. It's located within walking distance to just about anything you would want to do in Grafton. Highly recommended and will plan to visit again.

My wife and I have been staying in Grafton for years and wanted to try Jeni J's. This is a great place to stay, centrally located, reasonably priced, and close to the river. The property has everything you need for a romantic getaway. The kitchenette is fully stocked, the sitting area roomy and the bed cozy. Decorated very nice. There's also a nice porch with comfortable chairs. You will not go wrong choosing this as a place to stay. We liked it so well we booked another couple of nights later in the year.

Our stay was nice. We stayed I'm the one-bedroom cottage, and it was very cozy. I loved that there was an electric fireplace in the room as well as a Keurig coffee maker. My one suggestion for improvement would be that there needs to be a dresser or something to put clothes in. Other than that, I have no complaints.

We were pleasantly surprised to find our cottage was set back from the main road and had a spacious deck. It was very relaxing watching the river and marina while sharing a bottle of wine we purchased at Jeni J's quaint boutique! Our cottage was clean and a Keurig was provided so we could also enjoy coffee on the deck before we ventured out. Private, clean, quiet, food, wineries and antiques within walking distance, we will definitely return. Great place to unwind!

Great Weekend, will be going back for sure. Nancy was there to suggest placed to eat, and visit. The gentlemen assisting her were there to help in anyway you needed. Loved being in the central location we were in, and short walk to anywhere! No car really need unless your leaving town. Will be returning next spring.

We booked the stone cottage for a girls weekend and were absolutely blown away by how beautiful it was. I was expecting a quaint two room house but this place was HUGE! There are two living rooms, two bathrooms, a huge (fully equipped) kitchen, enough beds to sleep seven, and a lovely courtyard they had all lit up for us. AND, on top of it all, it is right down the sidewalk from the popular Grafton Winery. We parked our cars and walked everywhere since this is right in the middle of the "entertainment district." We couldn't have asked for anything better. I'm already looking to see if this is available next year!

My family and I stayed in Jeni J's cottage website: www.jenij.com (2 bedroom, 2 bathroom house) it was a very nice, very clean house. There were several exits so, that the early risers could leave without waking anyone else. Nice sitting areas to the rear and front of the house. Very close/walking distance or free shuttle to all the events in the small town of Grafton, Illinois such as zipline, parasail (weather permitting), small shops and great restaurants. If you enjoy small towns this is the place for you. www.enjoygrafton.com

We had such a wonderful time in Grafton and Jeni J's is located within walking distance of most everything. We loved sitting on the front porch in the evening and early morning watching everything that was going on. There is no "dining" at Jeni J's, but there are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance.

My wife and I stayed in the Wharf party suite and were VERY happy with the room. It was absolutely spotless upon arrival and had everything you could need. This was definitely the way to go. For the same price of a moderate hotel room we got 4x the space, a kichenette, front porch to hang out on, and a view of the river. It is within walking distance of a few of Grafton's nice wineries, eateries, and zip line. Guys, if you want to treat your lady well, Jeni J's is a perfect night out. Do it.

Over all our stay in Jeni J's Cottages was nice. We stayed in the one-bedroom the first night and it was fine. We stayed in the 3 bedroom cottage the second night and that was very, very nice. The two cottages have a lot of St. Louis Cardinals decor and I would have preferred something more sports neutral as I am not a Cardinals/baseball fan, Nancy and Mike are very nice and very easy to work with. Value-wise, I thought it was a bit pricey, but I do not have anything to compare it to as this was our first time in Grafton. We will be back though as we had a great time!

This was my 2nd time staying at Jeni J's and I was thrilled that we were able to return. I have now stayed in 2 of the rooms (Wharf Cottage and Cardinal Cottage) and both were outstanding. They are charming, clean, well-kept and up-to-date. Nancy is wonderful and is extremely easy to work with. She offered flexible check-in times and included options of how to spend our time. Location in Grafton is great! Walking distance to 3 or 4 different restaurants/wineries that offer great food and reasonable prices. Night life is clearly around, but you can easily spend a quiet evening in your room. Anyone who wants to stay near St. Louis but have a more private experience, definitely consider Grafton and Jeni J's!

We booked a stay at Jeni J's over Valentines weekend with a gift certificate we received for Christmas. I spoke with the owner several days ahead of our arrival, and she made a big deal over our picking up the room key before 6:00 p.m. when the gift shop was to close. The owner insisted I call her the day before or the morning before our arrival, to let her know what time we would be arriving to pick up the key. I called her an hour ahead of our arrival, to let her know we were on our way. When we arrived at the gift shop at 3:25 p.m., (check in is 4:00 p.m.) the room was not ready and the owners wanted us to "come back later" to get the key, which I found to be both rude and inconsiderate of our plans. They provide absolutely no type of breakfast, not so much as a bagel, muffin, or piece of toast, so I am not sure why they are advertising on the Bed & Breakfast.Com site. Seems to be misleading the consumer if you ask me. Afterall, there's a kitchen in the room, why not have a basket of muffins or bagels. There wasn't so much as a bottle of water in the refrigerator or snacks of any kind for $160.00 a night! I have stayed at other Bed & Breakfast in both Grafton & Elsiah and I will be returning to those establishments, but never to Jeni J's, which is over priced with poor customer service.
Guests arrived appearing to have been drinking. They were obnoxious and very difficult to deal with. Our gift shop was filled with customers who were embarrassed by their behavior. We went out of the way to accommodate them, but apparently they misunderstood our policies!

In March of this year, we rented all three of the cottages and had a large group of friends gather for a birthday celebration. Easily within walking distance of many wineries, pubs, and eating establishments, the cottages' central location in Grafton made for a great evening. The Cardinal Cottage was large enough to serve as the center of activity for the evening with multiple tables of cards and board games available. We brought our own grill and used the patio for food as well. Mike and Nancy Jo even joined us for food and drinks that evening. What a pleasant place to stay!
