There is an abundance of activities for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy such as golf, horseback riding, hot air ballooning, vinegard tours, birding, hiking, kayaking and even snow skiing in winter, to name a few. In addition, there is an abundance of sites for history buffs to explore, including the town's rich architectural heritage.

My husband and I stayed here after I returned from Afghanistan and it was so worth it. Rita was amazing, setting up reservations for me while I was deployed, everything was ready when we got there. The house is wonderful, the porch is lovely and it's a great little walk down the hill to the heart of Galena. Loved it so much heading back there with our son in just a few short weeks. You won't regret staying here.

This is the perfect place to stay in Gelena. The view from the front porch is outstanding and Rita is a wonderful host and cook....the breakfasts were outstanding!

With so many Inns to choose from, The Hellman House is a must stay!! The attention to detail of the Inn and the gardens and Rita's hospitality make this a wonderful lodging facility. She helped us with dinner reservations, directions, and tour suggestions. We love Galena and all it has to offer and having The Hellman House as our home away from home made it all the more special. Thank you again Rita!! Dianne and Dennis, Nappanee, Indiana
