Our stay at Brierwreath Manor B&B was very pleasant and enjoyable. The location is so convenient to Main Street and the home itself is steeped in history and so lovely. The innkeeper, Joe, was very helpful and accommodating too. We will remember this stay and hope to repeat it in the future.

My sister and I had a wonderful stay. The location couldn't be better! The room was nice and clean. My only suggestion would be to invest in a better mattress for the fold out sofa. Joe was a great resource and the fresh baked cookies were fantastic!

Joe is a most welcoming host and his house is comfy, cozy and quiet. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts and great conversations with our fellow guests from St. Louis. The Brierwreath is located a block off of Main Street, so you're in the middle of all Main Street has to offer, but not subjected to all the noise and traffic. It has a lovely wrap around porch with comfy chairs and a porch swing; perfect for sitting out in the evening air enjoying some good wine. If you're heading to Galena, I highly recommend staying here.
Wonderful to have you all in the house! We are looking forward to your return if you ever get back to the area.

...Joe has taken over his parents place very nicely, and has committed himself to the traditions and values his parents have set for this type of establishment. We had a GREAT stay and will be sharing this info with friends and family for there future visits. R&L...
Thank you I greatly enjoyed talking with you during your stay.

My husband and I stay at Briarwreath every time we vacation in Galena. The owner is always hospitable, helpful, and a pleasure to chat with over the yummy breakfast he prepares. The prices are very reasonable (which is a big plus) and the B&B is located only 1 block from Main Street. Highly recommended!

Brierwreath Manor was a perfect choice for our first visit to Galena. The off street parking and convenient location (only a block from the main area) made our stay more pleasant. The innkeeper, Joe Cook, was hospitable as well as helpful. The breakfasts were delicious (we had 5 of them!) as were the chocolate chip cookies. The accommodations are suites so there is more space than in a room only. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brierwreath Manor and would stay there again.
Thank you for the very kind words. You and your sister are welcome back anytime. :)

First time b/b gusts. It was very relaxing and Joe exceeded our expectations as a host. He was there if needed and not obtrusive if we didn't need him. Home made breakfast from scratch was a treat along with lite conversation to get the day going. Great time.

Stayed at Mayor's room and it was really close to the Main street and parking is no problem. There is a street light that was a bit bright and would be nice there is a heavier shade for the window. But overall, nice experience.
