Quiet, clean and great location

5 on April 20, 2016

I stayed at the Brierwreath Manor for three days in April. My "room" really consisted of a large bedroom, sitting room and two-section bathroom. It was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ample: A main entree such as quiche, pancake or french toast was offered, along with fruit and a carbohydrate, if warranted. It was always hot and delicious! The manor's location was one street above Main Street, which was ideal. Everything was close by and convenient for stopping back "home" to drop off packages, etc. I would highly recommend Brierwreath!

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for highly recommending Brierwreath. It was a pleasure having you here for 3 days. Have a great summer!

Easy walking to Main Street Galena.

The Briarwreath Manor B&B was a delightful week-end choice for shopping, dining, and evening entertainment. The B&B is located in convenient proximity to the major attractions in Galena. The large suites are filled with whimsy and tchotchkes, with coffee and tea available early morning before a lovely breakfast.

Innkeeper Response
Location Location Location. You had perfect weather. Off street parking is a big plus. Looking forward to your next visit.

Nice place

This is a very nice B&B. Off street parking and the closeness to the downtown makes this very desirable. Pleasant and quiet.

Innkeeper Response
Pleasant and quiet in a very nice B&B. Thanks!!!

We enjoyed our stay, the inn was immaculate. Joe is a great host, he makes sure you are comfortable and have all that you need. The included breakfast is very good. I will stay here again.

Another Great Weekend at Brierwreath!

5 on March 31, 2016

If you like to shop and dine in Galena, this is the perfect location. You can park your car and never have to move it for the weekend. The Manor has comfortable and clean rooms in a quiet location steps from shops, restaurants, and trail. We come often for weekend trips to Galena and among all the places to stay it has become our favorite!

Innkeeper Response
Thank you, your very kind. Have a great summer! The front porch awaits your return. The weather has been beautiful for front porch sitting.

Would recommend fully

Joe was a wonderful host. The house is full of historical memorabilia and Joe's willing to entertain with stories if you ask him. We rented all 3 rooms for our family and it was perfect for our "mini" reunion. Because each room had a sitting area, we had our privacy or could meet in the sitting room for togetherness. We definitely would stay there again.

Innkeeper Response
Wow!! Thank you so much for a wonderful review! It was a pleasure meeting your family and look forward to seeing you all again. Have a great summer!

One of our favorite B & B's

5 on February 21, 2016

Stayed here three nights recently, Sunday-Wednesday. There was a nice bonus of -$30 for the multi-night stay. Every room here, there are 3, comes with a sitting room and it's own bathroom. We stayed in the Heritage Suite and LOVED it. So comfortable. Joe, the owner/inn keeper is great. He keeps the B&B spotless and provides the wonderful full breakfasts. He's also great fun to talk with about Galena's history and current places to go/see. We'll look forward to staying again when next in Galena!

Innkeeper Response
It was so nice meeting you both! What a great couple of days. I look forward to seeing you again. :)

Home Away From Home

Rooms are well decorated in different themes. It would be nice though to have room to entertain. There is no space not covered with decorations. hard to spread out any appetizers or drinks.

2nd Annual Trip

5 on February 11, 2016

This was the fiancé's and my 2nd trip to Brierwreath Manor in Galena. The innkeeper is very friendly and accommodating. The proximity to downtown Galena is absolutely perfect. We plan to keep coming back every year to the same place and look forward to our breakfast conversations with the innkeeper.

Innkeeper Response
I enjoy seeing you every year. Best of luck in your new life. Wishing you a happy healthy year.
