Oakridge Manor Bed and Breakfast

Bob and Anna do such a wonderful job of making you feel like you are at home and part of the family. The place was immaculate and the breakfasts were to die for. Anna's homemade scones and pastries along with her award winning french toast were the perfect meals. The rooms and grounds are so well kept. Bob and Anna offer great conversation and know the area well to offer recommendations of places to visit and eat. We plan on staying there again in the future - "The Loft" is our favorite room.

This place gets an A+. Clean and modern yet homey and confortable. Hosts are great people and very helpful. Loved it!!

Thanksgiving Eve and Thanksgiving night, 2011, my wife and I spent our second stay at Oakridge Manor. I can't imagine how any B&B could be more perfect. Bob and Anna are very gracious hosts. Besides all the amenities you would expect from a first-class B&B, Oakridge Manor is in a beautiful rural setting. My wife and I enjoyed walks up and down the 0.3-mile driveway. We also walked around the pond and watched deer running in the adjacent woods. Oakridge Manor is a great place to relax and escape the noise, hustle, and bustle of everyday city life.

My wife and I stayed here for our 1 year wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful time! It was only our second B&B that we have been to and it is going to be hard to find another one that will beat this place. Bob and Anna are wonderful hosts that were very welcoming and made us feel like we were right at home. We stayed in the Loft and the decor was very nice and everything was very clean. They put a lot of work into the upkeep of not only the rooms but also the beautiful landscaping all around the property. It is an excellent location that is close to the beautiful Shawnee National Forest, local wineries, and enough other attractions that you will surely be able to find something exciting for anyone. Bob and Anna know about everything there is to do in the area and have pamphlets printed out with directions on how to get there and back, and also suggestions on what to make sure you see to get the most out of your trip. We had a wonderful time and I would recommend Oak Ridge Manor to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing trip to Southern Illinois. Tell Bob and Anna hi for us!

Stayed for 2 nights in Oct. Great place to stay. Can't say enough about Bob and Anna and the way they run this B & B. Great talk, food, and oh so clean. Why would anyone stay in a hotel/motel with places like this to stay.

This place was amazing and Anna and Bob were wonderful. I left items in the room even though I thought I had checked everything. Anna was gracious about mailing it to me and that just topped off the service we received. Would definitely go back and on a 1-5 rating with 5 the highest, we would give it a 5 plus.

Perfect home base to explore the natural wonders of Southern Illinois. Bob and Anna are exceptional innkeepers/chefs/guides as is Oakridge Manor. Didn't know quite what to expect coming from Chicago and were pleasantly surprised. Anything you want to know about the area, just ask.

This trip far exceeded our expectations. The hosts are friendly and informative. Our room was spacious, private, and clean. We spent the day hiking in Shawnee National Forest, and the evening admiring the starts from our private balcony. Hopefully we will be able to visit again soon.

Our stay at oak ridge manor was a wonderful experience on our 39th anniversary. Would recommend this wonderful place to anyone looking for country getaway.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at Oakridge Manor. We stayed in "The Loft" and it's beautiful. We especially enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area. So wonderful to come from the city to the country for the weekend and enjoy seeing the stars at night! Bob and Anna are fabulous innkeepers! The breakfasts were delicious and food was plentiful (we didn't need any lunch!). They also made suggestions for things to do during the day and they know so much about the area. All in all, a wonderful visit!

This was our first stay at a B&B, we loved it. Bob and Anna were so nice ane easy to talk to, answered any questions we had. The property is gorgeous, they really take pride in the service they offer. Our room was more than we imagined, came with roses, wine, snacks, our own private balcony, and a jacuzzi tub so big you could get lost in it. The breakfast was great, we loved all of it and were eager to eat again the next morning! We will definately go back if we're in the area again.

This is a beautiful house and setting. We were greeted by Anna at the door and taken on a tour of the property. You can choose from many places to relax -- by the pool, several patios, and two living room/family room areas. We were in the dragonfly room and it was light and spacious and has three large windows with a beautiful view. Everything is very modern and looks like new. There is even a refrigerator by the pool if you want to bring a cold beverage out. I couldn't rave more about Anna's breakfasts -- she may even print a recipe out for your to take home. The setting is private and includes a pond and pastures with horses. We were there in mid-September and saw wild turkeys coming and going. Make sure you allow at least three nights if you want to see highlights of the Shawnee National Forest and the wine trail. It is spread out more than we thought, and two nights does not do it justice if you want to explore. Madi and Ken, Roselle, Illinois.

Booked two nights here for our first stay at a bed and breakfast for our anniversary. I was very excited for it, having looked at the pictures and info on the website, but I was blown away. Our room was absolutely beautiful. Clean, comfy, relaxing and romantic. The owners truly thought of everything you might need or want and then some! The house was quiet and peaceful, the pool refreshing and relaxing, and the breakfast amazing. Best breakfast both of our mornings that I've ever had! Everything was fresh and could tell was hand made from scratch. Delicious! We wish we are able to go back every weekend but will for sure be at least our annual place of escape. Couldn't have had a better experience.

My husband and I came to Oakridge Manor Bed and Breakfast seeking to get away from the chaos of the city into the country. Oakridge Manor was the PERFECT get-away. We stayed in the nine dragons enjoying the jaguzzi, gorgeous back patio with a sky of stars and warming fire place. We woke up to Anna's fabulous cooking, starting our days off good. Throughout the day, Anna and Bob gave us great directions and input as to trips hiking and horseback riding. The property is even more beautiful than the pictures can grasp... the walking trail, stables, and fields surround your little get-away. This was our best trip yet and we definitely recommend it! :)

We love staying at Oakridge Manor! Bob & Anna are always great hosts. We were so excited to get to see wild turkeys while eating breakfast, so awesome! Next time we stay it will be longer. My husband is very picky about b&b's and he loves staying here, possibly his very favorite.

Oakridge Manor was the perfect location to spend our 20th anniversary. We stayed in "The Loft". The room was elegant in design, had many extras including stocked refrigerator and a beautiful balcony. It has a private entrance and only yards away from the pool. The pool was quiet, clean with plenty of towels and lights at night to read by. It is surrounded by pure nature. There are many activities available in the area, but we most enjoyed the peace and quiet of the grounds.

Oakridge Manor is by far the nicest Bed & Breakfast we have ever visited. The rooms are very tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable. The inn keepers are very friendly and thought of all of the nice little extras that make your stay even more special. The breakfasts served were better than any restaurant I've eaten in-- fresh fruit, nut encrusted french toast, unique egg dishes, homemade scones-- amazing! The pool and the grounds outside were also very nice. We would definitely come back!

I reserved Oakridge Manor for our anniversary. We didn't know what to expect since we had never stayed at a B&B before. It was the best place we have ever stayed. Bob and Anna are wonderful people. They made us feel at home and like we were longtime friends. We had great conversations with them and the other guests. The grounds are beautiful. The garden is amazing. The breakfasts were some of the best we have ever had. This being our first B&B,all others will have to live up to Oakridge Manor and Bob and Anna. I don't know if that is possible though. There are so many fantasitic qualities about Oakridge Manor that we don't know quite where to begin. The country atmosphere and elegant lodgings was wonderful. We were able to enjoy the pool two ways: sitting beside it in the moonlit evening and then swimming the next day after breadfast. The homemade, full course breakfast was outstanding. Anna even let us take a couple of the ginger scones with us on our bike trip later in the morning. We appreciate the suggestions both Bob and Anna gave us regarding good local restaurants and directions to get there. They were very knowledgable about the various sites and activities in the area which we were able to visit. The spacious room had a refrigerator with water and soda, and the homemade chocolate chunk and dried cherry cookies were delicious! We are already making plans to come for our anniversary trip next August.

We rented the "Loft" for 4 days. We enjoyed it very much. Highlights included the balcony, swimming pool (kept us relatively cool during a heat wave) and of course breakfast, which was outstanding. Area highlights are the bike trail, wineries, and a peace and quiet, country atmosphere. The Innkeepers are very good at making you feel welcome, had a "Tuesday 1/2 off special" that made the already affordable rate more so, and provide great service to their guests.

The Oakridge manor was by far the best part of our trip to southern Illinois. Even the included breakfast was amazing (not to mention the best meal of our trip). While more expensive then a hotel, you are paying for the elegance, privacy, and excellent service provided by Oakridge manor, making it one of the most romantic places you can stay.

My wife and I recently golfed, hiked and biked in Southern Illinois over a three day period. Luckily the last place we stayed was Oakridge Manor...saving the very best for last! I believe we're now spoiled from staying anywhere else but there. The residence and the grounds are beyond compare and Bob and Anna were the most gracious and friendly hosts. Although we had just met them,we shared many interesting and enjoyable conversations...they also gave us a great place to have dinner in Marion. We stayed in the Dragonfly, one of the smaller rooms, but it was more than adequate for the two of us. My husband swam laps in the pool each morning. The breakfasts were fabulous; so much great food we only ate one other full meal each day. Bob & Anna are very friendly and helped us pick out where to go hiking and made suggestions for restaurants for dinner. The only downside of our stay was the heatwave which made outdoor activity in the afternoon unpleasant, so we retreated to our room where we were very comfortable.

Bob and Anna couldn't be better hosts. The breakfasts were top notch and the pool area has to be seen to be believed. The only drawback was the plastic lined mattress pad. It was hot and caused me to perspire.

Anna and Bob could not have been more gracious hosts. Their property, both inside and out, is pristine and inviting. I would strongly recommend this "home away from home" to any and all who might pass through this part of the country.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Oakridge Manor Bed and Breakfast. We had purchased a deal on Living Social which allowed us to purchase 2 nights at half price. We stayed in the Loft. The Loft is a separated area which gives you a half bath downstairs and a room upstairs with a bathroom. The room has a large comfortable bed, seating by a private fireplace, a small dining area, and a private balcony. The bathroom has a large jacuzzi tub for two and a jetted shower. The room was beautiful and decorated very modernly. It was so cozy and personalized. Bob and Anna (the owners) provided us with a bottle of wine, home made cookies, snacks, and a cheese plate. Her cookies were so delicious! Also, the room comes with two very comfy bathrobes. The manor also had a large pool area which was very relaxing too. The pool area also included a bar area with a fridge and grill. The property also includes a large pasture with a pond. In the morning, Anna served us with breakfast. The first morning we had fresh local fruit, crullers, nut encrusted french toast, bacon, and eggs. Let me just tell you, I don't like eggs, and I loved these! The next morning, we had more fresh fruit, scones, quiche, sausage, and hash browns. These breakfasts were so yummy and filled us up for the day ahead. Bob and Anna were very knowledgable about the sights and attractions in the area. They were also very helpful with directions to these places. They provided us with directions to a hiking trail in Fern Clyffe and it was probably the most beautiful hiking sight I have ever been to. The entire time, I felt like I was staying with a family member. They made us feel special and so welcome. I loved this experience and will be sure to make it back very soon!

This beautiful bed and breakfast exceeded all our expectations. The room was amazing, the grounds were beautiful and well cared for and Bob and Anna were thoughtful and interesting.

Bob & Anna area gracious hosts, their home(B&B) is well arranged to work as a great getaway w/ public and private areas. Their resturant suggestions were wonderful and not too far away. The pool area is equipped for all sorts of occasions.

A wonderful home - full of interesting artwork and collections. The guest rooms were each unique - very clean and excellent service. Oakridge Manor was the midway-point for my wife and I's honeymoon roadtrip. We pulled in around suppertime after a long day of driving, and Robert was on hand immediately to give us the grand tour and to answer any questions we had. With the outdoor swimming pool, the walking paths, and the wonderfully decorated rooms and lounges, we were overwhelmed trying to decide what we wanted to do for the short time we were there. The countryside is beautiful at sunset, and the Manor is close enough to a town that quality nighttime dining isn't an issue. We stayed in the Nine Dragons room, which was cozy and intimate, with a wonderful whirlpool bath. The breakfast was fantastic, and we hated to leave so soon, but we had another long day's drive ahead of us. We'll definitely be back for a longer stay over an anniversary to get the full experience we missed out on!

Oakridge Manor is an exceptional B&B. Not only is it beautiful from the outside but the interior was furnished impeccably -- so nice and clean and well maintained. The owners, Bob and Anna, could not have been nicer and most hospitable to us. They made us feel right at home! Anna's homemade breakfasts were absolutely fantastic. Bob and Anna were so accommodating and made sure that your needs were met. Bob suggested several nice restaurants in nearby Marion which we tried and were well pleased wtih. I would highly recommend staying here if you're ever in Southern Illinois! This inn was special.

This was my first trip to Southern Illinois, and it is a very beautiful part of the country, especially the wine country.

From the minute you start the drive up the lane to Oakridge you begin to feel relaxed. When you are warmly greeted at the door by Bob and Anna you know you've made the right choice for lodging. The house is gorgeous. The tale of the renovations is amazing. The love Bob and Anna have put into Oakridge is evident in every corner of every room. The grounds are meticulously kept and there are numerous places to sit and relax either by the pool or a fountain or fireplace. The complimentory wine and cheese plate are a very nice touch. And bring an appetite for breakfast because Anna can cook! Definitely well worth the trip and someplace this traveler will return to again and again.

My husband and I recently stayed at this lovely and charming home. We were greeted with warm smile, delicious cookies, and pristine grounds. Due to the unpredictable weather in early May, we were not able to take advantage of the in-ground pool but did visit the pergola area daily to read, reflect and bird-watch. The irises were in bloom, creating a Monet-like atmosphere, while the waterfall area provided a zen-like tranquility. Breakfast each day was simply delicious and filling, leaving me wondering what we would have next. Bob and Anna were extremely knowledgeable of the area and all the hidden treasures that Southern Illinois provides. Needless to say, we have immensely enjoyed our two visits to Oak Ridge Manor and even though our son has graduated from SIUC, we anxiously await return trips.

My wife and I decided to take a trip to southern Illinois to enjoy the national park and the wineries. Within and hour of the manor is some of the most breathtaking hiking this region has to offer, plus more wineries than I care to count! Our room (9 dragons) was an amazing get away with access to the beautiful patio and common area, plus an amazing bathroom and jacuzzi tub. Bob and Anna were a delight. We got to see all of the beautiful art they have displayed as well as discuss life as we finished breakfast, which by the way far exceeded any breakfast I have ever had outside my own kitchen! As first time B&B patrons, Oakridge Manor far exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were so luxurious in the Loft suite that I didn't want to go back home to my own room! It has it's own private entrance, private balcony and a jacuzzi tub that will truly spoil you. Anna's breakfast each morning was outstanding and the conversation with the inn keepers was very enjoyable. They sent us with perfect directions around the wine trail and had great recommendations for dining and hiking We will definitely be back!

Bob and Anna are delightful hosts at their stately manor. Our room, Nine Dragons, was very comfortable and peaceful with a spa-like feel to it and we enjoyed the beautiful gardens in the late afternoon and evening so much that we extended our stay to three nights. The wine, cheese plate, homemade cookies and fresh flowers were an added treat. We will definitely be back for another stay at Oakridge Manor Bed & Breakfast.

The pictures for the Oakridge Manor do not do it justice. The Nine Dragons bedroom was amazing! It has a jacuzzi tub that is big enough for two people to sit in and relax with a bottle of wine. The bed was super comfortable. There is a door that leads out to a patio with a water fountain, and a pathway from there that leads to a beautiful view of the country. They have a swimming pool that will be open soon (due to the weather/temperature). The house is very clean and the rooms can be refreshed during your stay. While we were there, we had a wine and cheese plate as well as two breakfasts. The first breakfast was a slightly spicy/savory quiche with a fruit cup made out of a grapefruit. It was very good. The second day, we had an almond encrusted french toast and a delightful egg scramble that included potatoes and other veggies. The food was just amazing, as was the conversations with the owners and other guests. I would highly recommend Oakridge Manor if you are going to visit the wine trails or just to relax. It really is that wonderful!

My wife(!) and I spent three days here at Oakbridge Manor after our wedding, as a semi-honeymoon before returning to St. Louis. Or so we thought it would be a semi-honeymoon. The experience was so great that those three days were just what we needed, and much more. Bob and Anna were just so...delightful. :) They made us feel right at home, our room (The Loft) was impeccable (5-star hotel material), and Anna served us better breakfasts during our stay than any humans have ever enjoyed, I believe. As if Oakbridge wasn't awesome enough, with Bob & Anna's assistance we found horseback riding, a spa for massages, several wineries, and a beautiful park called Garden of the Gods with bluffs and cliffs that I never knew existed in Illinois. I recommend Oakbridge Manor profusely, to anyone and everyone. This was our first visit to a Bed & Breakfast, and we've now vowed to return here at least once every year, for life.

My wife and I had never stayed at a B&B before. We had always been hotel people. We spent time looking for a B&B that had a room that we thought we would enjoy. (Our tastes are more modern) Anna and Bob were awesome and The Loft (room name) exceeded our expectations. The decor was modern and comfortable and all the amenities were perfect. From the tub to the sitting area by the fireplace, the room was fantastic. The breakfast portion of B&B was phenomenal. Anna had home-cooked eggs, pastries, and pecan encrusted french-toast. YUM! Our stay was completely OUTSTANDING, and we WILL go again.

Food was very good and the owners were great. Very nice B & B, will stay again.

Service, rooms, breakfast, and nearby attractions were all memorable and fantastic. Great getaway from the chaotic city life.

We had a wonderful stay at Oakridge Manor Bed & Breadfast. Robert and Anna Bordenave have a beautiful home and setting. We stayed in the "Loft Room" which is there newest addition. The room and amentities far exceeded our expectations. Robert and Anna's helpful suggestions and knowledge of the area made our stay even nicer. My husband had a big bash for his 60th birthday, and wasn’t expecting much for his 61st. When the day came, he began looking around for a card or something. I told him he was invited for a birthday drink at Oakridge Manor Bed & Breakfast, but he had no idea what else was coming! After refreshments and an hour or so of conversation, he said how peckish he was, and that we should be off to dinner. The amiable hosts invited us to stay for dinner, and while he looked embarrassed at declaring his hunger, he accepted. When we entered the dining room, it was set for a King, and he started to realize that something was afoot. A six course gourmet dinner followed, and the menu featured: fresh mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto with tomato basil sauce; caramelized pear, gorgonzola, candied pecan, and fresh green salad; filet mignon stuffed with spinach, bacon, and bleu cheese cooked to perfection (my rare steak seemed to melt in my mouth); parsley buttered new potatoes; roasted asparagus, mushrooms, grape tomatoes with red wine and horseradish vinaigrette; and the pièce de résistance was a red wine pear stuffed with dark chocolate and walnuts in a light pastry cloak. Talk about a meal to remember! After coffee and digestifs, the guest of honor realized he was also spending the night in the Nine Dragons Suite at Oakridge Manor. The suite offered the ambience, tasteful decorations, and amenities of a five-star hotel, and we enjoyed a beautiful night in comfortable luxury. We woke refreshed to inviting aromas from the kitchen and a vista of snow over the secluded acres in Southern Illinois. If you want a total gourmet experience in a bucolic environment FULL of surprise and romance, you will want to visit Oakridge Manor, too!

Oakridge Manor B & B is an outstanding destination in southern Illinois. All the rooms are beautiful and extremely clean. The grounds of the B & B are relaxing and the pool is great. My wife and I have stayed here many times through the years and have never been disappointed. The breakfasts have always been tasty and a treat each day. We find ourselves at night talking about what treat we get in the morning from Anna. The innkeepers (Robert & Anna) are great people and have a great knowledge of the area to help plan the day for people not familiar with the area.

We booked at the last minute and (even tho it was a holiday) they were so kind bout taking us as guests. The food was absolutely fabulous, the bed was very comfy (and I am the Princess with the pea problem), the location was perfect (close to a town with a good restaurant- Asian Bistro -but NOT in town) , so it was quiet and beautiful even on a rainy November evening. I would highly recommend this B&B! We took the Winery Tour through Southern Illinois and our hosts also gave us excellent advice re: directions and which wineries we should visit. Thumbs up! Oakridge Manner is truely a gem. Bob and Anna created the perfect get-away atmosphere. If you're planning to travel anywhere near their place I highly recommend you swing by for a stay.

Our first B&B experience. Set the bar very high. Beautiful house and grounds, comfortable and relaxing room, great hosts, and a breakfast that was out of this world good. We are definitely going back again!

I was expecting a very nice B & B, but to be quite honest, Oakridge Manor far exceeded my expectations!!! Their pictures are very nice but you really need to experience this B & B firsthand to fully appreciate the wonder. I stayed in "Grandma's Room" which is at the top of the B & B and very cozy. The decor throughout the B & B is very tasteful, and the grounds are perfectly landscaped. I had an early morning swim before breakfast! (And how many B & B's do you know that have an in-ground pool?) The breakfast was a treat as well! Bob and Anna are doing a GREAT job! Put their B & B on your travel plans. It will be the highlight of you trip!!!

We were only able to stay one night, but wished we could have stayed a couple more. Our room, The Loft, was so relaxing and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and the service was perfect. We will definitely be back--a great place to get away from the world.

This was our first stop on our trip from northern Illinois to Louisianna. Our stay at Oakridge Manor was a great kickoff to the trip. We spent time at the Garden of the gods and Rim Rock in the area. Both were excellent sight seeing stops near Oakridge. Thanks to Bob and Anna for a wonderful stay.

We spent 2 nights in the Nine Dragons room and had a wonderful time. The accomodations were awesome, the food was fantastic and we felt very much at home there. The outside fireplace was a great spot to end our day. Lots of beautiful parks and wineries close by.

This is by far the most charming, and comfortable B & B that my husband and I have ever visited. The Bordenaves have completely renovated the interior of the home; each room is unique and beautifully decorated. The location is serene and peaceful, with deer and turkeys occasionally wandering through the yard. Bob and Anna have covered every little detail in order to make their guests feel welcome, including homemade cookies waiting for you in your room when you arrive. And Anna's cooking is truly gourmet! We loved the location, near SIU & the wine trail & many things to do. The mansion was beautiful, the history of it interesting as well. The hosts were so nice, pleasant, helpful. The attention to little details was noticed & appreciated. The breakfasts were tasty! We will always stay here in the future & wish all B&B could be like this one!

We have not stayed at many B&Bs as my husband isn't a big fan, but we were both glad we visited Oakridge Manor. The photos on their site do it justice, although I wish I'd realized how nice the pool & pool furniture was; I'd have packed our swimsuits. Everything about this place was truly high quality, from the bed linens and decor to the absolutely delicious food. Strongly recommend the dinner, which was so bountiful it was the basis for another dinner and lunch later in our trip! I enjoyed meeting other guests and our hosts, and Anna is really the best. The only drawback I noted was the driving distance from wineries, but if we'd been staying longer that would not have been an issue. I would not hesitate to recommend this property!

This place was amazing! Everything was great - the room was modern and was cleaned and stocked daily, with such a fun bathtub. The grounds were so pretty and the manor was elegant but with a homey vibe too. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the proprietors were really nice and welcoming. They really made us feel special...they even surprised us with a dozen roses in the room!

We spent two nights - the weekend of October 1 and 2 - at Oakridge Manor Bed and Breakfast located at 9049 Route 166 Creal Springs, Illinois 60922. The B&B is spotless, well appointed and the grounds feature horse pastures and a rolling countryside. The innkeepers – Anna and Bob Bordenave are delightful, interesting people who are willing to please. Breakfast was excellent both mornings. Nearby you can enjoy nature and visit an abundance of local wineries. Oakridge Manor will make it very difficult on any subsequent B&B experience. We highly recommend Anna and Bob’s Oakridge Manor. The house was immaculate and really lived up to the pictures in the ads. The rooms were spacious and decorated in very good taste. There is a huge pool area and garden. It is set off the road with a long private drive. It is as great place to get away. The owners are great people and really make you feel at home. The breakfast was superb. I will be back with friends.

Our room was terrific the hosts made us feel like family. We dined at the B&B for our 25th anniversary. It was a fabulous dinner and we couldn't have been more pleased with stay here.

Our stay in southern IL could not have been any better than with Bob and Anna at Oakridge. The estate is gorgeous from top to bottom, everything is first class and the breakfasts made us want to live there! It was the perfect place to have a secluded getaway and get engaged. I only wish I could give more than 5 stars for the food! The house and grounds are lovely, the rooms were delightful, Bob and Anna are very welcoming hosts. We had a wonderful weekend get-away, and will definitely be back. This county property is absolutely beautiful - the rooms, building, landscaping, pool, all of it. The breakfast was great - we love the pecan french toast! Our hosts were gracious and helpful for all of our activities and our overall stay.

Anna and Bob were very gracious hosts. The grounds provided a park like setting and the pool was enjoyable. Breakfasts were a very delicious start to our days. Our room was very comfortable. The setting provided wild life to enjoy. We will return next summer to enjoy again.

The breakfasts were incredible,,, we were well-fueled for our days of exploring the Shawnee National Forest and surrounding countryside: horseback riding, hiking, generally exploring. We returned each day and enjoyed the pool and beautiful grounds. Our rooms were wonderful: perfect size, clean!!!, really comfortable beds. We enjoyed dinner one night prepared by Anne (she's a gourmet -- delicious) and service by Bob was friendly and attentive. It was a wonderful stay. Hoping to return with a group of our friends.

We stayed at Oakridge Manor for a short honeymoon. It is a wonderful, relaxing B&B located in the Southern Illinois wine country. We had the priviledge of staying in "The Loft" room and would highly recommend it to everyone. It is a wonderful room with its own private entrance. You definitely want to experience one of Anna's wonderful dinners. We think it was one, if not the best, dinner we have ever eaten! Ask Anna and Bob for recommendations about the surrounding wineries and other attractions, they will lead you in the right direction. The outdoor pool is another great place to relax and has all the amenities you will need. We will surely be back for another visit to celebrate our first wedding anniversary next year if not sooner.

A beautiful home in the middle of a beautiful area. The food was excellent and the accomodations were second to none. The combination made for an excellent weekend in celebration of our 23rd wedding anniversary.

We didn't arrive until 9 p.m. due to a late start but, that wasn't any problem for Anna and Bob. They still greeted us at the door and went out of their way to show us where everything was located. Loved the bathroom, large, modern, and versatile. Food was excellent, well presented, and plenty of it. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at Oakridge Manor for 3 nights. We stayed in The Loft, it was wonderful. The room was very clean and decorated with a modern feel. The bathroom included several upgrades including a whirlpool tub and shower with 5 jets. Bob and Anna, the innkeepers, were so friendly and were very willing to give their recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Bob also provided pre printed directions from the inn to several parks and wine trails which made navigating the small towns easy. Anna is also a wonderful cook. We opted to have dinner at the inn one night and it was the best salmon I have ever had. Breakfast was amazing every morning. We are already looking at our calendars for when we can go back.

Anne and Bob were excellent hosts. The breakfast time was flexible between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. You could not hear any of the other guests. It was very quiet. The house was on beautiful grounds with a lovely swimming pool and pool house. All rooms were stocked with home baked cookies, snacks and beverages; as was the 'frig by the pool. Or you could bring your own libations. The breakfasts were absolutely awesome. I just can't say enough good about this place. The amenities were nicer than any other B&B I've ever visited with a very relaxed atmosphere. Great! Loved it!

This is one of our favorite get-aways. Rooms are very comfortable and the Innkeepers seem more like good friends. It is quite and very relaxing. We have returned again and again. We look forward to returning. They also have stalls for our horses so we can keep them with us on property. We love to trail ride & Shawnee has some of the BEST trails to ride in the mid-west!

Oak Ridge Manor is awesome! Staying with Bob and Anna is like visiting a favorite relative; they make you feel so welcome and at home. The accommodations are spacious. Anna's cuisine is over the top; she provided outstanding gluten-free menus for us. Bob has an encyclopedic knowledge of where to go and what to do. Overall, A-plus from us!

My husband and I just returned from our stay at Oakridge Manor and it was simply amazing. We stay in The Loft and had a wonderful stay. The room was beautifully decorated and super comfortable. The bathroom was spectacular with a jacuzzi and huge shower. Anna and Bob's hospitality was great and the breakfast of french toast (the best I've ever eaten), eggs, pastries, fresh fruit, and coffee was delicious. And let's not forget the beautiful 98 acres that this B and B is located on. I highly recommend this place.

We just returned from Oakridge Manor and had a glorious time. The innkeepers were very hospitable, the meals were delicious and served beautifully. Even though it was a cold deary weekend the decor of the manor is so cheerful you are just happy to be there. We will definitely go back to Oakridge Manor.
