Water Valley Inn

The picture here of outside of the home is deceiving as it is in need of a paint job. That being said, the inside of the home is delightful; accommodations clean and well presented. The food was good and we liked the fact that we had the house to ourselves (8 ladies). The Aldridge's were very friendly and I would highly recommend it for anyone wanting to partake of the wineries since that's about all we did.

This is by far the nicest, most homey place I've ever stayed. Every time I bring new friends, they are in awe of the property. Everything and more is provided for the guests. We absolutely love it here and can't wait to come back!

My mother and I celebrated her birthday at Water Valley and we absolutely loved the inn. The home is a gem to be treasured, the farm grounds a delight to explore and the hospitality of innkeeper, Kim, an experience to savor--especially the bountiful breakfast. We stayed the first week in August & loved this house! It is a wonderful place to stay. The location is good, the owners are very nice & want to be sure you have everything you need. The house is beautiful-very charming. It is equipped with everything you need & if not, Kim will readily provide it. The breakfasts she brought over were superb! We loved our stay & will definately stay here again!

This bed and breakfast is absolutely wonderful. It is beautifully decorated and the innkeepers Kim and Gregg are so sweet. Kim stocks the house with special toiletries in case you forget anything and she also stocks the fridge with breakfast foods. You can just sense the love and warmth that has been put into this house. It is an exceptional value and they will do whatever they need to make your stay enjoyable!!

We have been there 3 yrs in a row.Love the peaceful setting,hummingbirds and deer after a stressful work week.Most of all the beautiful woodwork in the house,extra snacks and the cleanliness! Plus we are left alone to relax and enjoy.Kim and Gregg are just across the road if needed.They even provide a cell phone with emergent numbers to ease our minds.My husband is a heart patient so we appreciate it.Kim has it decorated so nice yet very comfortable!

We had a fantastic time at Water Valley Inn. This property is very quiet, and when you rent it, you rent the entire home! The house was very clean, Kim thought of everything (above/beyond what other B&Bs offer)! Fridge was fully stocked, and we had more than plenty to eat! Robes were great, nice big fluffy towels, comfy beds and couches! The property is within minutes of many of the areas wineries, and a short drive to the rest. It was a fantastic stay - and only wish she wouldn't have been booked for the next night and we would've stayed again! We'll definitely be back!

Huge, old farmhouse. The owner pays close attention to amenities. Lots of privacy and very comfortable beds.

I've been visiting Water Valley Inn for several years now. We typically have anywhere from 7-9 ladies for our annual Shawnee Hills winery weekend. Kim and Gregg know how to 'do it up right'. The home is simply lovely, with all of the little "extras". The breakfast items provided are plenty, not to mention all of the other goodies you'll find in the kitchen. Water Valley Inn is perfect with its 5 bedrooms/2 baths. We absolutely LOVE it and already have our reservations booked for Fall 2011!

I am having my wedding here in 2012, and when I went to look at the home and property Kim welcomed me with open arms like I was her own daughter. The home is absolutely amazing and old fashion. I cannot wait to experience my special day here. Me and my fiance have already decided we will be coming back every year to celebrate.

We absolutely loved the Water Valley Inn! It is a gorgeous old farmhouse all to yourself in a gorgeous setting! We loved the privilege of having a stocked fridge and being able to cook the breakfast ourselves. The rooms are gorgeous, owners are super accommodating, and the price is amazing! We can't wait to go back! :-)

We've been to the Water Valley Inn twice, and will definately be going back again. The house is so comfortable, and so relaxing. We have had 2 small "family reunions" there, and on both occasions, everyone loved it. The amenities are wonderful, and Kim is always so kind and makes us feel so at home. The Water Valley Inn is always at the top of our list of places to stay when we are in the southern Illinois area. I would highly recommend it...you won't be disappointed!! Alyce

Myself and 8 other women got together to celebrate my bachelorette party. Kim is an outstanding Innkeeper and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. I would compare the amenities at Water Valley Inn to that of a 5-star hotel. Plush robes in each bedroom, soft sheets, Bath & Body toiletries, name brand shampoo, gourmet coffee & teas, and numerous candy dishes through out the house filled with chocolate. What more could a girl want! The landscaping and flowers add such a wonderful frame to the house. This was our first visit to the Water Valley Inn but it will not be our last.
