The Welcome Inn Manor B&B on Michigan Avenue is a unique historic home built in 1893 located just 5 minutes from McCormick Convention Center- a bit off the beaten path of conventional hotel lodging... blah blah blah. Few homes of this type contain an all natural and organic ambiance from the moment visitors step foot in this home. Guests from around the world feel welcome and are usually provided FREE RIDES to the convention center. Weary travelers seem to love our ALL INCLUSIVE LODGING PACKAGE FOR GUESTS STAYING 3 DAYS OR MORE. Location, location, location: We are 12 minutes away from Chicago's Magnificent Mile shopping area and numerous museums and other lakefront amenities. We offer bikes to encourage guests to take a leisure ride on the lakefront and nearby US Cellular Baseball Field, Illinois Institute of Technology, University of Chicago, DuSable Museum and the Illinois College of Optometry. Guests love to take photos of Chicago's lakefront at dusk and the homes of President Barack Obama, former residents- Nat King Cole, and the Marx Brothers a few minutes away. There is easy access to the public transportation system via bus, train and little to no traffic via automobile in this part of the Near Southside.
