Villa D' Citta

What a quaint, quiet old world retreat right in the middle of Lincoln Park. Our host was superb, and what a cook! It felt as if we were staying with good friends in their private home--very warm and intimate -- what a pleasure.

I would love to keep Villa D' Citta as my little secret, but that wouldn't be fair! This cozy B and B is outstanding in every way, beautiful rooms, warm friendly service, amazing food. I can't wait to come back!

The absolute best stay away from home I've ever had. The Villa is beautifully appointed and well kept mansion whose quality is unparalleled. Walking through the gates is like diving into the rabbit hole and emerging in a wondrous world of amazing architecture, modern amenities, and fine dining. Its accommodation, location, food and especially the staff are all the standard caliber by which all other B and B's should be set. There is no better place to stay. Period!

We stayed in the Grand Tuscan suite and the accommodations were wonderful. An excellent place to spend an anniversary. It is especially nice because there is no rush out the door upon checkout and the Villa is beautiful.

From a warm welcome late in the day to a final sumptuous breakfast on the day of our departure, we thoroughly enjoyed Villa D' Citta.

This was just what I needed after three months of caring for my critically ill husband. It was elegant, quiet, and very relaxing.

Cathy was very accommodating. You cannot go wrong with any room in the place. Feels like you're on a mini vacation. The mansion itself is beautiful and well kept. It's hard to go back to a hotel when I have this B & B.

I've stayed at Villa Citta twice so far. I come to Chicago for business every few months and was looking for a B&B near DePaul since my daughter is now a freshman. Besides the basics that you'd expect (Clean, Clean, Clean!, great locations, courteous staff), here's what my experience has been like: - Incredible architectural make over that feels like you are staying in someone house with incredible taste. - The staff (Cathy and Emily) are amazing and go out of their way to make you feel at home. They were so generous in having my daughter over to visit. - A kitchen that is available to guests that would put a professional chef at ease (Wolf and SubZero). Fully stocked frig with sandwich and panini fixings, hot dogs, waffles and "make your own pizza" - Cool Home Theater Entertainment area. - Luxury suite with a bathroom / Shower that needs to be seen to be believed. - Relaxing grotto in the back to sip wine and talk. - Awesome hot tub! .... popular with my college daughter! In short, I'm a HUGE Fan. If you are in the area, once you stay there you'll be a regular!

Villa D Citta is an elegant, beautiful retreat from the busy streets of Chicago. The villa and rooms are well appointed. Service is exemplary. Breakfast is ample and delicious and cold cuts and hot dogs are available during the day if you wish to make a sandwich. My husband and I are both rather choosy about where we stay but this B & B surpassed our expectations. We'll definitley return to this charming get-away.
