My stay at this place was great, hotel looks old and its a little squeaky as you walk but the bed was very comfortable and relaxing, my innkeeper david was great, always asking if there was anything i needed and very friendly, i have never stayed in a place where you have a shared bathroom so it was new to me but all the bathrooms were clean and maintained so it wasn't an issue at all, neighborhood was nice with a lot of eating and drinking options, and convenient to the subway and that made it great, after a couple days i enjoyed my stay more and more, i would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends, i had a very good stay.

The room we stayed in was exactly as pictured. Very clean. I loved the history in the house. We went to a baseball game at Wrigley and also a Blue Man Group show. We walked to both without a problem. Area feels safe. Easy access to the L train and a short ride to downtown. Dinner at Trader Joes (included with your stay) was just 2 doors down from the Inn and was delicious. Don't forget to bring something other than jeans so you can have a drink in Room 13 downstairs! Breakfast was delicious. David, the inn keeper, was very knowledgeable about the history of the B&B and the house. He is very polite and attentive. My only suggestion for improvement: put a bottle of hand soap in the bathrooms. It was a pain remembering to take our bar of soap (provided) to the bathroom each time, especially in the middle of the night. I have already reserved my next stay here!

Thank you Tod, Virginia and Max I had a wonderful time, was made to feel most welcome. Great location close to the city, cool stores, theatres and a huge choice of dinning and the L is just around the corner. If your an inner city person and thrive on the eccentricities this is the place for you but if you like the security of sameness I would suggest stick to the sterility of a Chain hotel. Trader Tods was a great introduction to American baseball hey and this Kiwi hope his luck keeps on for the Cubs.

My wife and I booked a room for a weekend for a friend's wedding. We love our stay, and especially the hospitality of the staff was A+. When we first arrived, we were there around noon and had to call a cell phone to get the attendant to come let us in. However, they were able to have our room ready for us early and let us enjoy the rest of the day in Chicago worry free. The convenience of the location is great for public transportation, and the neighborhood of Wrigleyville has a great feel to it. They also have made the basement area into an after-hours speakeasy open until 1am on weekends - it just helped add to the charm and feel of being in Chicago. The room itself was tiny, but other rooms were larger, so it may just depend on what's available for what price. But we spent most of our time outside in the city, so the small room was a non-issue for us. Also, the TV while cable offered very weird options, like old TV shows. Not sure what cable it was, but it was not a standard cable (i.e., no HBO, ESPN, etc.). The private bathroom not attached to our room was a bit annoying, but again, for us not a deal-breaker. Breakfast was a nice mix of homemade and your basic continental breakfast. The charm of the spot and the service of the staff more than made up for any inadequacies. I highly recommend it to those who enjoy B&Bs.

Called to announce we were at O Hare and Sara said , meet you at the Inn at preset time, when we arrived , there she was to let us in. Max the next day helped with a dinner reservation, good recommendation. Unfortunately husband injured his back which limited some of our activities. Virginia the innkeeper could not have been more accommodating due to the circumstances. Will we return...absolutely. Location is ideal to transit, restaurants.
