I cannot recommend higher the service, cleanliness, food, and hospitality we were treated to at this lovely B&B. We left feeling like we had made two great friends and were sorry to go. Situated just a block from downtown Algonquin, we walked to dinner. Do not miss the Italian Restaurant on the corner, fantastic! We'll be back!

Five of us rented the whole house for a reunion. It was a perfect place to get comfortable in a home like atmosphere. Sherry and Carolyn clearly care about the comfort and happiness of their guests. The breakfasts were outstanding and varied each day. Carolyn provided fresh scones and coffee outside our rooms in the early morning before a full breakfast. Fresh fruit every morning and beautifully presented. The house itself is very quiet. No noise from room to room or from the kitchen. There are at least three communal gathering places for quiet conversation. I would absolutely recommend Victorian Rose Garden.

Great place for cyclists. My wife and I stayed here one night while riding the Fox River Trail. The B&B's location couldn't be better as it is within sight of the bike trail on the one side and within a few blocks of three decent restaurants on the other. Sherry, the Owner and Innkeeper lives on the premises and has done so for 40 years. She has space for overnight bike parking in her large detached garage. The B&B itself is very nicely decorated (if you like Victorian) and our room had a large bathroom attached with a claw-foot tub. The breakfast in the morning was ready on time and very hearty: eggs benedict. We would definitely return and recommend the Victorian Rose Garden to anyone needing to stay in or near Algonquin.

Beautifully decorated and warmly comfortable, the Victorian Rose Garden was a most surprising discovery. Mrs. Brewer welcomed us, gave us cookies warm from the oven as we were shown to our room, and made every effort to make our stay an enjoyable one. Breakfast was outstanding. We hope another opportunity to stay there comes along soon.

i brought my dear 84 year old friend here to enjoy her birthday. We were both charmed by the Victorian Rose immediately! Sherry was gracious and giving in all the best ways, accommodating our needs. Although the stairs are very steep to the upstairs rooms, the delightful Alicia's Room was worth the pain! What a delicious breakfast of stuffed French toast, perfect bacon, and a fruit compote! We definitely plan to return!

I stayed here for 2 nights because it is close to home and some work was being done on my house. What a lovely surprise to get a wonderful, relaxing stay! The house is gorgeous, the staff are wonderful and I felt like I made some new friends in them. The food was fabulous and my daughter and I were treated like queens! Definitely a place to stay!!!! Thank you Sherry, Carolyn and Michael for making us feel like family!
