3.8 out of 5Restful stay at Reflections Inn
September 04, 2012
Our recent 2 nights at Reflections Inn was very pleasant and relaxing, as promised. In Ruth's absence, Jim was a great host. This is a place to get away from busy daily life, so having no TV or phones in our rooms was fine. There is good free hi-speed wifi throughout, a plethora of books (fiction and many subjects pertinent to the area) and DVDs to watch in the main lodge. Our very comfy bed was upstairs in a separate lodging building (not a problem for us, but some people might be challenged navigating all the property, which is on a hill). The various rooms are each uniquely decorated attractively (mostly rustic) with good craftmanship throughout. Since Ruth was gone, Jim forewarned us there would be no dinners at RI. (Some of the rooms are equipped with nice kitchenettes.) This was probably the main drawback, as it was around 45 minutes to the best dining in Kamiah (but the drive is lovely). The Hearthstone Bakery has a good lunch and dessert menu, and serves an excellent special dinner (over the weekend only). Jim also recommended Palenque in Kamiah, and the Mexican food was very good. Favorite memories: enjoying the outdoor hot tub and the amazing view of the night sky, hiking up the hill behind the inn (the trail was good, but Jim's walking sticks helped with the climb), and sitting (on lawn chairs specially provided by RI) IN the lazy (in August), warm Clearwater River, enjoying our lunch as a few kayakers paddled by and a flock of Canadian geese peacefully swam nearby. We were pleased to have found the Reflections Inn, and would gladly make a repeat visit.
5 out of 5R&R at Reflections
September 02, 2012
We came for 3 days of R&R. We started each day with a delicious "May" breakfast. Then we read or hiked to the top for the fabulous viewor rested down in the river and waited for the sunset. This was our second stay and we will return for more of Ruth and Jim's attention and care.

A friend recommended Reflections Inn - but was unclear as to exactly why - all he could say was that 'it felt like staying at a good friend's house'. He was exactly right! Ruth and Jim are the perfect hosts, entertaining, warm and welcoming. We highly, highly recommend!

July 06, 2012
The hospitality we received from the owners, Jim & Ruth was beyond stupendous! Between the comfortable rooms, wonderful breakfasts and breathtaking views I haven't been to a more fabulous place to stay in my 50+ years. They made us feel so welcome we truly hated the thought of leaving. Everyone should experience the Reflections Inn - you won't be sorry.

This was our fist time at a B&B so we didn't know what to expect. It was better than a hotel. Peaceful and serene nestled in the woods. Jim went out of his way to accommodate us! The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends!
5 out of 5The perfect stop along the Lewis and Clark Trail

September 03, 2011
We swept in with 5 MINIs on our way to a Colorado event and had a wonderful time! Ruth and Reggie went out of their way to make it a great stay even though we were only there one night. They helped us with an enjoyable BBQ and birthday celebration and then followed it with a great breakfast before we left for points east the next day. It truly was one of the highlights of the trip and we hated to leave! Definitely a place to come back to again and again for pure relaxation. You will leave feeling like a very pampered house guest!
