IdaHome Bed and Breakfast

Two years ago my wife and I visited Ida-Home B&B to get away and celebrate our anniversary. We were absolutely delighted to have happened upon this B&B. Beautiful scenic location, comfortable room, great food and simply delightful hosts. The experience was so good that for our next anniversary we were eager to repeat it. A can't miss B&B!

My wife and I recently went to Idahome Bed & Breakfast for our one year anniversary. My wife was skeptical of going but by the time we left she was absolutely convinced it was the best place we could have gone. It was only an hour from home, but it felt like a flight across the country to such a peaceful and beautiful place. The owners served us amazing breakfasts and great company. Thanks so much for such a great experience!

We spend the first night of our honeymoon at Ida-Home and received such a blessing from Al (Mureen was gone). Breakfast was delicious, the room was comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. Perfect place to spend a vacation!!!

Al and Maureen are naturally gifted when it comes to hospitality and catering to your particular dietary desires, with palate-pleasing creations served with all the flare you'd expect from a 5 star restaurant! An overnight stay in this quiet pine-forested setting is insuffieent time to experience the many thoughtful touches that await you at the Ida Home Bed and Breakfast.

Al & Maureen were gracious hosts. They made us feel comfortable and added thoughtful, personal touches during our stay. It was our first anniversary and it was wonderful.

I loved the fact that they served gluten free/sugar free food. I have special diet needs and Al and Maureen were very accommodating and sensitive to my diet. They even served a xylitol syrup (just for me) for the gluten free pancakes. I felt so special and never once did they make me feel awkward or guilty. If I lived closer I would go there more often just to get away. The whole experience was amazing, relaxing and peaceful. They really know how to treat their guests. Thank you Maureen and Al! Sandy F. I was in Post Falls for business and prefer to try "out of the ordinary" places to stay-makes my trips more interesting. The hospitality was wonderful, Maureen and Al are such nice people. I had the treat of seeing some deer and turkeys, very lovely grounds and very private. I normally bring my own bedding (I'm fussy about "hotel sheets"), but next time I won't bother-their bedding is nicer than a Four Season's resort!! Thanks again Al and Marueen! Cyndi

This is a lovely and friendly B&B. In addition, Maureen really knows the local restaurants, so I got great suggestions on where to have dinner.

My sister and I visited this B&B for a quiet sister weekend. We couldn't have asked for a better place, better hosts, and better gluten free food! It was totally awesome. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Staying at IdaHome was a wonderful experience. Getting away from the Texas heat to cool mornings and beautiful scenery was very appealing. Al amd Mareen are such gracious hosts. What a delight to spend a quiet weekend with my sweetheart in the warmth of Al and Maureen's home. Their gift of hospitality made us feel so welcome. We were re-directed to this lovely B&B after a long day on the road. Maureen and Al graciously welcomed us to their quiet hide away at the last moment. I was travelling with two teenaged boys and Al made sure the boys got a little exercise at the basketball hoop! The bedroom we occupied was extremely comfortable; it was so peaceful and quiet that we slept remarkably well. We were also served an excellent breakfast in the sunshine on the back deck. Beautiful idyllic location, top-notch squeaky CLEAN facilities, QUALITY furnishings, AMAZING hosts, and DELISH breakfasts. Nothing was lacking! We'll definitely return when we're in the area.

We stayed at the B&B by accident, we booked another B&B which happen to be overbooked and were advised to Idahome. Well we can say it was the best accident that can happen to you. We had a great time those 4 nights. The room was romantic and very clean, complimentary drinks in the fridge. We had a beautiful fireplace with nice comfy chairs outside the room which we enjoyed every night. Every morning was a delight to get to the breakfast table and be suprised what was on the table. We will defenitely return to this place. We recommend this B&B to everybody who appreciates hospitality.

Although my wife and I stayed for just one night at the Ida Home Bed and Breakfast it was wonderful. We had a large and elaborate outdoor wedding in a beautiful venue in Spokane (where we are both from) and I wanted a place to spend our first night together (we did not live/sleep together prior to the wedding) that had a very personal atmosphere but was not too rustic and "fit us." Ida Home was perfect. Based on other reviews I found online I chose this place and it was just what I was hoping for. We arrived late in the evening and they were awake to welcome us and help to our room which was lovely and prepared with their champagne "special touch." After a wonderful night together we enjoyed a healthy and tasty breakfast of berry/banana compote filled crepes. The experience was wonderful and my wife was very pleased with my selection. Thank you Maureen and Al for being wonderful hosts and helping me have a beautiful first night together.

Wow, where to start. We can't imagine going to the great Northwest and staying anywhere else. The hosts, Al and Maureen, are the nicest most accomodating people you'll ever meet. Their home becomes your home and you are made to feel this way through their unending hospitality, comfortable quiet setting and excellent conversation. The home is nestled in the woods which provides plenty of opportunity to see wildlife such as deer and turkey yet only minutes from downtown Coeur d'Alene to the East and Spokane to the West. The expansive great room is an excellent place to sit and engage in excellent conversation with the hosts or just sit and read a book in peace and quiet. We stayed in the Heritage room which was very clean and exceedingly comfortable with the king size bed. It looks just as the picture on the website except Al hand built a corner fireplace which made the room even more cozy on those rainy evenings. There is an expansive deck on the back of the house which has a walkout from the Heritage room. It would be excellent to enjoy anytime of the day as it has chairs and table to relax in and enjoy a sunrise/sunset or jump in the hot tub for a little relaxation. Maureen gave us a tour of the rest of the house and I believe any room you choose will have the peace and serenity you are looking for in a B&B. Every room had it's own special appeal and coziness that draws you in. Last but definitely not least is the breakfast. Al and Maureen go out of their way to provide you with whatever your pallet desires. You wont walk away from their table hungry! The table is set as if you were dining in a hi class restaurant but the food at Idahome is much better! No better place to stay whether for a local getaway or your anchor point for a fun vacation to the great Northwest!

My husband and I met friends at IdaHome Bed and Breakfast and I was awed when I first walked through the door. One entire wall is window and it's just striking. The house is beautiful, each room has a theme, is spacious with so much attention to detail. A lovely rose waits for you in your room. Breakfast is delicious and healthy. Al and Maureen are so warm and friendly and they have anticipated every need you might have. The grounds are beautiful in such a private setting. I felt spoiled and I loved it. We will recommend them to our friends. It is so worth the drive from Shelton.

The Snyders were friendly and warm. The special treat for us was the gluten free breakfast. It was delightful and filling enough that we happily skipped lunch that day. Very restful experience.

IdaHome bed & breakfast is a wonderful place to stay when visiting northern Idaho. Al and Maureen were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed spending time talking with them and other guests that were there at the time. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. Al & Maureen were very helpful in sharing ideas on things to do and places to eat in the area. My wife and I have stayed in many bed and breakfasts and this one is a winner! We luckily stumbled on this best kept secret on the WA. ID. border. Just 3 miles off the main highway we found ourselves in the wilderness, in a jacuzzi, with deer running around the property. Maureen and Al were genuine and kind to us the entire stay. Our room with antique interiors was beautiful and most restful. We highly suggest you check out this property!

IdaHome Bed and Breakfast is a delightful location in Post Falls, Idaho; host and hostess Al and Maureen are friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They've created a welcoming and relaxing haven amidst a beautiful forested landscape. Breakfasts are scrumptious--ours was served on the outdoor deck--and the bedrooms are comfortable and decorated with entertaining pictures, antiques and a variety of reading selections. If you have an upcoming visit to the area, you can't go wrong with the IdaHome Bed and Breakfast--certainly a better choice than a chain hotel or motel!

Maureen and Al Snyder are amazing hosts. They are a delight to be around and take a personal interest in you getting to know the area. A friend and I from Damascus, MD, and McLean, VA, felt we found the best B&B experience in northern Idaho! In addition to Maureen and Al's beautiful and comfortable home, breakfasts to die for, and reasonable rates, the B&B is centrally located for easy travel as far away as central Washington, the tip top of Northern Idaho, and even into western Montana. Their B&B is located in Post Falls, which is approximately seven miles east of Spokane, Washington, and seven miles west of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Sandpoint, Idaho, is only 30-40 minutes north. We both highly recommend staying with Maureen and Al when visiting the Spokane region or northern Idaho. They welcome people who stay as short as one night when traveling through the area to two or so weeks for those of us who want to really get to know the region. You will be glad you selected Ida-Home B&B!

IdaHome is a beautiful Bed & Breakfast nestled in the pines of Post Falls, Idaho. For us, it was a great beginning after having just retired as educators to the "third third" of our lives. Al and Maureen were the consummate hosts with warmth and genuine care expressed in so many special ways. Truly, they made us feel like "mi casa su casa" (my home is your home). The accommodations were meticulously appointed and the Great Room was a favorite spot in their home. There we read, listened to music, nestled up to the fireplace, enjoyed the "outside" from "inside" through the floor to ceiling windows and caught up on some computer skills. The breakfasts were concluded each morning by asking, "Do you share your recipes?" Ahh... the scrumptious culinary presentations of each healthy breakfast were worth getting up for each day. Will we be back? You betcha!
