Everything about our stay was absolutely first-rate, from the room and overall accomodations to the excellent food and especially to the genuine welcomeness and hospitality we received throughout our stay. And the movie theater as well as the movie selections is the best moviehouse west of the Mississippi River!

Jay and Michelle are wonderful people who truly enjoy having guests in their home and they made us feel like family! Jay has a passion for entertaining guests with his home theater and the theater is state of the art with the best seating and sound system I've experienced along with a very generously stocked selection of goodies that exceed any movie house! The wine in the evening was fantastic. We never bothered to go out for dinner because every room in the house had a snack or goodie to be found and enjoyed.. Michelle has done a beautiful job of decorating every inch of the home in stunning fashion appropriate to the homes design and she is a joy to converse with. The breakfast was delicious and you won't go away hungry! One complaint would be that the smell of fresh ground coffee in the morning was missing and the flavor was that of an average restaurant. A B&B this fantastic should have the wonderful aroma of fresh ground coffee beans. This B&B deserves a high quality bur grinder matched with high grade roasted coffee beans. The hot tub appeared to be in a little need of attention as well. We have every intention of coming back and are looking forward to it. Thank you.

Please do not miss staying with Jay and Michele. We stayed for 3 nights. the hospitality was exceptional and the grounds beautiful. At the Ponderosa, the rooms are well appointed, the home exceptional with every detail covered by Michele's artful eye. You will enjoy Jay's theatre library and in-home theatre entertainment so that your nights are really night's out. We will return. Maryanne Murphy, Esq.

The house and the property are fantastic. Spacious, rustic and with all of the modern amenities you could want. Michelle is wonderful and the breakfast is spectacular. It's as good a B&B experience as I've ever had. Too bad I couldn't stay longer.

My husband and I came to the Ponderosa Lodge Bed and Breakfast for our honeymoon on 8/20/11, and we LOVED it! Jay and Michele were so nice, and gave us the tour of the lodge, which was beautiful. The front room had a few things to do (I believe there was some type of game out? Chess, maybe? And lots of old-fashioned books). My husband is a huge John Wayne fan, and found two different books about him in their collection, so he immediately fell in love with the lodge ;). The rooms are beautiful with great amenities, like goats milk soap, and after a great but tiring day, we were happy to find that there were snacks in the room. The theater room was really neat, and the automatic reclining recliners even had cupholders! The breakfast was FABULOUS! They made an amazing homemade hollondaise sauce for their eggs benedict, and the other two courses were just as good. My husband and I are coming back in 2013, and we are really looking forward to it!! We loved it!!

A friend and I dedided to plan a secret gettaway close to home for our husbands and found this nice B & B. The small theatre included was a big hit for the men and we were treated very well during our stay. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay.

We were greeted by Michele & given the tour. She has done wonders with the decorating. The theater was my husband's favorite place; from James Bond to hotdogs and candy; he was in his dream of a man cave. Breakfast the next morning was perfect. We will back!

The Ponderosa Lodge Bed And Breakfast was beyond what we expected. My husband Ron and I have chose to stay at B&B's for the purpose of personal attention and for a calm relaxing enviroment. I chose the Ponderosa Lodge because of the beauty of lodge and the quiet of the country setting. Upon our arrival Jay and Michele make you feel welcome the moment you walk into their lodge. The rooms are are so relaxing, and the attention to detail is just wonderful. The breakfasts will satisfy you for the entire day as they are so delicious and filling! Ron and I got to try some new entrees we never had before, and believe me you won't be disappointed! Fresh coffee and snacks thoughout the day to enjoy. Evenings relaxing with a glass of wine in the great room enjoying great conversation. Later we would enjoy a movie in the theater room that is jaw dropping incredible. Jay is an amazing host to your any questions you might have on any movie from the 4,000 selection he has. You can also enjoy the movie with the many choices of snacks, popcorn, icecream, hotdogs. Just like the real thing! Ending your evening with a relaxing soak in the hottub out in it's own little retreat. Falling asleep in a bed that is heaven tops off the whole experience. Jay and Michele created an amazing B&B with the thought of what they would like to have if they were in the guests shoes. I would like to end this review with a huge thank you to Jay and Michele for opening your home and hearts to us and sharing a unforgetable experience. We didn't just find a place that we could getaway from it all, we found amazing wonderful new friends. We have definitly found our slice of heaven at the Ponderosa Lodge Bed and Breakfast. Jay and Michelle are two of the most wonderful hosts we have ever had the pleasure to meet. When we first arrived to their beautiful home until the moment we left they were so gracious, helpful and kind. They made us feel like family, took care of me when I didn't feel well and spoiled us rotten! The rooms are all so beautiful. There were snacks and drinks in every room. We had three course breakfasts every morning. The wine and hor d'oeuvres were amazing. Jay is an amazing chef and Michelle bakes the most delicious pastries. Michelle even helped avert a crisis and fixed my dress! We had a our own hot tub time and watched a lot of movies in the awesome theater next to the wine cellar! They have thousands of movies to choose from and will make hot dogs and popcorn to make the experience even better. We recommend this beautiful home and these amazing hosts to anyone who needs an amazing weekend away to just relax and enjoy quite time with two beautiful people. Thank you Michelle and Jay for such great memories and such a perfect weekend.

A unique B&B. If you want something a little different, try this one. For those occasional B&B clients, who just have to have their TV fix, this one will take care of you with TV's in the rooms along with DVD. They have the most incredible selection of Movies ever, and instead of saying a home theater, I'd call it a Movie Theater in the Home. The breakfast was incredible. If you really enjoy a good relaxing B&B in a beautiful setting you need stay here. Sam

Our trip was very last minute... and I'm so glad that we chose to stay here! We arrived early and Jay and Michele did not seem to care. She gave us a tour and saw how excited we were about the theater, so she had Jay set us up to watch a movie before the other couple arrived. The theater was spectacular!!!!! The snacks were really good and we felt right at home. The wine was really good and we enjoyed chatting with Jay and Michele. The gourmet breakfast was no joke.. it was really good and filling! I could go on and on about how great this place is. Raul and I will definitely be back after he returns from Spain! Thanks for everything :)

Enter the soothing Ponderosa experience the moment you turn into the meandering drive up to the house. Michele & Jay have put thought into every detail of the experience of a visit to their Ponderosa Lodge, and it shows. We were delighted by the welcome board, excellently appointed room, and many many entertainments onsite. Luckily, though we enjoyed nearby (less than 2 miles!) Silverwood Theme Park, we still found time to enjoy cocktails with our hosts after supper, and take in a movie in the amazing home theater - with all the extras, like one's favorite movie snacks. Jay loves movies and had so many titles available, we had a hard time deciding! We spent some time walking the pleasant acreage after a luxurious, multi-course breakfast. You will not go hungry at the Ponderosa! There are so many activities onsite, this would be a great place for a getaway weekend for couples or families of all ages. Other amenities we simply didn't have time to try: the romantic wine cellar dining room, the secluded hot tub room, the game room (chess, backgammon). So many more things try at the Ponderosa, we're thinking about our next trip already!

My husband surprised me by taking me here for our anniversary and I couldn't have been happier! The place was beautiful, the food was amazing and the owners were so hospitable. Between the movie room and the jacuzzi we were in heaven. Thank-you so much, it was just what we needed-to be pampered! :)

Beautiful setting in a very lovely home. We were congratulated on our anniversay at the front door. There were roses and a card in our room. The breakfast was delicious. The movie-themed bedrooms were very creative. The theater is a great idea. We hope to return soon. Roberta and Sans

We stayed at the Ponderosa Lodge B&B and it was everything that we had wished for and more. Jay & Michelle have gone out of their way to make your experience nothing short of first class with a real personal touch. They have spared no expense to make you feel like you are staying in your dream vacation home. The food was impeccable, rooms are spacious and well decorated, and the rest of the home was simply amazing... We will come back again and again and can't wait to get there.... THANK YOU Michelle & Jay!! We loved our time in your beautiful home

I had a wonderful time at the Ponderosa. It is now my favorite Bed & Breakfast. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful, the theater was incredible, and the bed room was beautiful, and most important the bed was really comfortable. Michele and Jay are wonderful and make you feel at home. I recommend it without and reservation.

My wife and I have stayed in B&B's all over the country...This is by far the best in every category we've ever experienced. There website is accurate in all the details and amenities. This lodge was built to be a B&B so,unlike many, each suite has its own private bath, individual heating and cooling, in-room mini bar for beverages and snacks and wonderful beds. Don't worry about the in-room snacks. We were too busy sampling everything Jay and Michele prepared for us to drink and eat to ever stay in the room. There were so many extras that were included in the stay for no extra charges. Jay, who is a movie buff, has the greatest home theater room I have ever experienced, including a concession bar with candies, popcorn, hotdogs, and soda............no extra cost! We could not name a movie he did not have.We watched a movie(s) every night including one evening where dinner was hotdogs and soda. Speaking of dinner, one extra well worth the price, is the wonderful option of a private dinner prepared by your hosts at the lodge after a long day of sight seeing. It was wonderful. Breakfasts were gourmet and serving sizes were more than generous. Above all else, Jay and Michele were wonderful hosts. They allowed as much privacy as you wanted or as much interaction as you needed. They were, indeed, perfect hosts. Future B&B stays will always be compared to our stay at The Ponderosa Lodge B&B.............I can only hope they can come close to Jay and Michele's standards of excellence and kindness. We will be back..........often!

My wife and I booked a two night stay at the Ponderosa as part of our 30th wedding anniversary trip to Northern Idaho. Little did we know what a great decision it was! Michele and Jay have a truly wonderful B&B in a great location appointed with cozy and comfortable furniture and all the best amenities. You can find many of those qualities in a wide range of B&B's across the country. What you don't expect is the over-the-top attention to detail as they met our every need and then surprised us with a whole bunch of wonderful extras. From the truly gourmet breakfasts (Dutch baby's and eggs benedict) to hodogs, popcorn and ice cream down in the state of the art movie theater. Wine and scrumptious appetizers each evening and access to water, soda and treats whenever we wanted them. This was, by far, the best B&B experience that we have ever had. We will return to the Ponderosa and Michele and Jay's oustanding service to their guests. We encourage you to do the same!

We have traveled across the US and back staying in B&B's. This was the best experience we have ever had. This is a beautiful property with so much to offer. The rooms are great and the attention to detail is everywhere. The food was great--so is the wine cellar! All the common areas are so relaxing. The innkeepers, Jay and Michele were exceptional. We decided to stay an extra day--best decision we could have made--we'll be back!

The Innkeepers have thought of everything in furnishing and outfitting this lovey B & B. The rooms are beautifully and artfully decorated, the bathroom is equipped with anything you might need. The downstairs offers plenty of private space for reading or socializing or working on a computer (free WiFi). The front and back porches are gorgeous and nicely furnished. The Innkeepers seemed to go out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and needed nothing. To top it all off, they made us a delicious gourmet dinner (by special arrangement). Put this inn on your list of great places to stay in Idaho. It's a gem.

As first-time visitors to any B&B, Michele and Jay made our first stay at The Ponderosa Lodge a wonderful experience. They made us feel like family members from the very first moment and it never stopped. The accommodations were splendid and we were most impressed by the rustic, yet modern, and comfortable decor. During our two day stay we were treated to sumptuous breakfasts and evening refreshments while enjoying friendly conversations with the hosts. Our room was beautiful, as was the entire lodge with its hand-crafted and antique furnishings. The location is secluded yet convenient to the amenities of Coeur D'Alene proper (10 miles). We will definitely be returning to The Ponderosa in the future and recommend it highly to anyone seeking relaxation and a wonderful B&B experience.

What a wonderful surprise in the country. The new owners have created an elegant, yet comfortable bed & breakfast. We could not have asked for a better weekend, friendlier hosts, or more delicious breakfast.¿
