The High Country Inn

Our stay at the High Country Inn was simply amazing. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Jo made us feel at home in every way. Dinner and breakfast was outstanding! The lodge is beautiful and we loved the Moose Room.....I would highly recommend staying here.

What a way to arrive, a stunningly beautiful drive along the Clearwater River bordered by trees and small towns. Quiet, comfortable and totally relaxing. For those who can stay longer -- hiking, canoeing, and a visit with the Lewis & Clark route and Nez Perz history.

This inn is lovely. The food was excellent. Jo is extremely flexible, helpful, interesting, intelligent, and friendly -- she went overboard to accommodate our needs. We stayed in the big house, but would love to spend more time in one of the beautiful cabins. The Clearwater River area is so beautiful!

My whole family traveled from Texas to see the Moore Family! The views are truly amazing! I cannot wait to take my friends up for a cooking class! Jo's kitchen is so welcoming! And the food that comes from that kitchen is scrumptious! And her selection of wine, well I loved all I tried! I would Highly recommend The High Country Inn! A must see! A must come back and see again! Thank you Jo & Dick!

Most enjoyable bed and breakfast I've been to. Found the place on accident. Cannot recommend this place enough! You won't be disappointed!

Our party of three really enjoyed our stay in the Yellow Rose cabin, off the beaten path but easy access. The cabin was beautifully decorated, neat and clean. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff very friendly. Will stop again when in the area.

Had a fantastic time! Really enjoyed the rustic atmosphere and decor. Jo was great! Like my grandma; cooked great, hearty food and willing to help in any way. If you're looking for some wide open spaces and no city-folk distractions, its a great place to go. The hot tub didn't hurt either.

Jo did a wonderful job with our group's stay and cooked us 5 great meals. The game room and the hot tub were fun perks too.

Our hostess "Jo" made our week-end fantastic and a week-end to remember. She is super gracious, a fabulous cook. Hope I can return for another stay.

the Red hat ladies from the city came to this B&B. It is a beautiful setting in the pines. Best of all was the amazing woman who runs it and the food she provides.

After years of doing scrapbooking retreats at four different locations, this place takes top honors! The accomadations were outstanding, the service exceptional and the food to die for! Jo catered to our every need.

What a beautiful place to stay!!!! None of us wanted to leave, after staying 2 days. Jo is awesome & her cooking skills are superb. She fed 11 of us a delicious breakfast & dinner, with plenty to eat. She shares her kitchen & knowledge. The rooms are full of personality & very comfortable beds. The cabins are all like new. Jo & Dick took us out on their pontoon boat to Dworshak Dam which is a panoramic treat. They are biker friendly. The setting is very private. She reserved the entire Inn for us. What fond memories!!!!! I had tears in my eyes as I hugged Jo goodbye.

We especially enjoy hosting our motorcycle groups, as some of our own children are bikers! This area of Idaho, with its wonderful curvy roads, offers the perfect thrill for bikers, and our inn affords the privacy and protection for our guests It is so much fun to meet travelers who are out biking for fun together, and pamper them with our delicious meals and amenities! This young couple had driven all day from upper Montgana in driving rain, and were anxious to arrive to a dry, welcoming place! We were happy to see them be able to relax and unwind, and enjoy just one evening together in comfort, before heading back renewed in spirit for the next day to work!

There was a group of us touring Idaho on our Motorcycle's and stayed with Jo & Dick for two nights. We really enjoyed the good food and visiting with Jo and Dick. The accommodations were excellent.

After 4 years of marriage, we were looking for a little bit of heaven and in our weekly casual drives we came across "The High Country Inn", and totally captured our interest and desire to stay here, so we booked our 4th Anniversary stay and for 2 nights experienced something right out of a story book! We can not say enough about how wonderful our time at the High country Inn was!! Jo is so warm and friendly - she makes you feel like family. The food - I've never had better, even in the highest rated of restaurants we have eaten in. We stayed in the Yellow Rose Room and we were delighted with the privacy and comfort of the room. We enjoyed rocking in the rocking chairs. This B&B is a "must" if you love staying at B&Bs.

We were so happy that these guests "found" us, as we ARE a bit out of the wsy of normal travel, being just outside of Orofino with an address of "Ahsahka." However, we are easy to find, and just off Highway 12, which runs from Missoula to Lewiston, and easily accessible from areas like Seattle, Spokane, or Boise. Thanks for finding us and coming to celebrate your anniversary!
