The Dwelling Place B&B

About

Upon entering The Dwelling Place you will be stepping into the 1918 elegance of a Craftsman style home, completely updated in 2012. Truly a lovely environment to refresh your spirit, soul and body. Many tell us one of the most elegant and lovely places they have stayed. Beautiful designed tastefully decorated rooms will invite you to relax, feel at home, and leave feeling refreshed. A comfortable chair for relaxing, and books or music to soothe your soul. luxury linens, towels, extra soaps and toiletries for your needs are provided. Bottled water is always available, and cookies for a treat. The original house where Pella's founders came from the Netherlands, is just behind our house. Visit the Tulip gardens with 25,000 tulips in the spring, and flower gardens in summer. We were thrilled to be honored by The Pella Historical Trust Society for the restoration and historical preservation of the house in 2013. With both Doug and Beverly experiencing restoration in their personal lives because of Jesus love and transformation power, we too desire others to experience His great love for them. Come enjoy a beautiful lodging place where you can enjoy a visit to Central College, a Vermeer Business trip, or ladies a visit to the quilt shop and others shops. Elegance and hospitality will meet you at the door, as you take a step back in time, with all the modern conveniences. And only 1-2 blocks from everything, shopping, dining!! Enjoyed our stay at The Dwelling Place. It is conveniently located within walking distance to the main town square in Pella. Beverly and Doug were friendly and accommodating. The home is very clean and tastefully done. The breakfasts were delicious. Sharing a bathroom might be a drawback for some.

You will also be privileged to enjoy a homemade coffee cake or healthy muffins or maybe even pastries from a bakery. Bev enjoys preparing your breakfast with the extras.
