We had an amazing stay in the Italian Room at Clarke Manor! It was our first time staying at a B&B and I can't wait to come back. The rooms were beautiful, learning the history behind the house was fun and engaging and the stuffed french toast that Rose made is to die for!! Thank you so much for having us and I have a feeling that we will be back soon!

Rose was warm and welcoming from the first phone call! And when we arrived to a beautifully appointed, fresh, expansive Clarke Manor, we knew we would enjoy our stay and return! It has it all -- wonderful host, beautiful rooms in expansive inn, excellent breakfast, afternoon biscotti and wine! Beautiful view from rooftop! Love, love, loved it!

All us siblings stayed here, 6 of us, while in Dubuque to celebrate older sister's 50th wedding anniversary. Innkeeper Rose added to our pleasure of the occasion; rooms & grounds were spotless. Even had a fountain.

Rose, Thank you so much for your warm welcome and hospitality during my stay. It was wonderful for me during a difficult week. I love the house and can't wait to be back again in June, under better circumstances then! You and the homes friendliness was a welcome relief. Sincerely, Rebecca

Ok, so where do I start.... Rose, the inn keeper is amazing! She made our stay so fantastic! The rooms were beautiful and I started to feel like I didnt know which one to pick because I liked them all so much, but in the end we chose the Golden Gate Room and LOVED it! It was our first time at a B&B and I could not have been happier. I loved how this place was set above town in a really nice local area with low traffic and yet town was only 2 minutes away. Perfect location. The views from the Cupola were amazing and we got some really great photographs of the night skyline from there. Overall I would go there again and again! Cant wait to get the girls together now for the next trip and make a ladies weekend out of it! Thank you again Rose, it was such an honor to meet you and we appreciate the wonderful breakfast, evening cookies, snacks, wine and all that you did to make our stay worth it.

We originally had booked three nights and added a fourth to our stay in this gracious and comfortable base for exploring Dubuque and the surrounding area. The house is spacious and attractively decorated without being loaded with knicknacks. Guests are welcome to enjoy various sitting rooms, including a cozy library and an airy sunroom, and to climb the spiral staircase to a newly rebuilt cupola with rooftop deck, which is one of the highest spots in Dubuque and offers great views of the Mississippi and the city. Breakfasts were wonderful, and we appreciated the afternoon treats and very much enjoyed conversation with our hosts.

We had a delightful stay at the Clarke Manor. The ambiance of the house and grounds were most inviting. We were enamored with the unique cupola and the beautiful view form the adjacent deck. In our short visit we relished the graciousness and hospitality of Clarke Manor as a home away from home. Also, thanks to Barbara we had inside information on the city of Dubuque so that we were able to make the best of our short visit.
