Historical building in the heart of Budapest, with all ensuite private bathrooms! Walk to most sights ! We are 10 minutes walk from the Danube River. The hop-on hop-off bus can be boarded at the Great Synagogue 50 meters away! One block away is the most popular "ruin" bar, Szimpla! Our beds are comfortable and have fine quality cotton and lyocell sheets and pillow cases, down comforters and nice plump pillows. All rooms have quality heating, ensuite private bathrooms, and central hot water system! Daily housekeeping, free high speed wireless internet (Airport Extreme) if you bring your laptop. Or you can share our Mac. LCD flat screen TV in all rooms with cable channels, hair Drayer in all rooms. Free breakfast. The building has an elevator so you don’t need to struggle with your luggage on the stairs.

I recently stayed at the Danube Guest House and thought it was superb. The innkeepers, Zoltan and Bob, were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was also excellent. I would stay there again if I were back in Budapest and would highly recommend it to others. My only criticism was that the breakfast was at a local restaurant. It was good, but opened a little later than I was hoping to get out to explore the city (9:00 or 9:30, I believe) and included a grilled panini and coffee.

You can buy the tickets at the airport. Take the bus to the last stop, and than take the Metro to "Deak Ferenc Ter". When you come up on the escalator take a left and then up the stairs on the right to Karoly Korut. There should be a Match grocery store on the left at the corner. Continue straight ahead on Karoly Korut, you will be heading for Astoria. After 2 long blocks you will see the Great Synagogue on the left. You are now on Dohany Ut and we are near the end of the first block #16 - 18 on the left. (Please check our website)
