The Bamboo Orchid Cottage is 1.3 miles to the Volcano National Park Entrance. The room was very clean and cozy. The individual heating elements on the bed was a nice touch. Gas fireplace was not needed. The outdoor hot tub was great, especially after a hard day of hiking in the park. Breakfast was average at best since Hawaii law does not allow B&B to provide a hot breakfast.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Bamboo Orchid cottage in Volcano, HI. The cottage was very clean, private and comfortable, and so conveniently located to the Volcano National Park. Breakfast was great, and we loved the hot tub after a long day of hiking. Kathy was very nice and got up early enough that we could take some breakfast with us on the days that we had early plans and missed the full meal. I would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone staying in Volcano.

Enjoyed our stay! Maurice, the cat, greeted our arrival. The room was extremely cozy and roomy. The papaya boat Noel made for breakfast was delicious. The conversations with the fellow guests were very entertaining. What more can you ask for?
