Kauai Beach Inn, Poipu Bed and Breakfast
-
Although the Plumeria Suite at the Kauai Beach Inn is often referred to as the "Honeymoon Suite," you don't have to be on your honeymoon to take advantage of the authentic Hawaiian charm it offers visitors to the Garden Isle. With it's own lanai (outdoor shaded patio), comfy sitting area, large private bathroom featuring a Jacuzzi jetted tub and separate shower, king-size bed, flat-screen TV with cable and Netflix, free Wi-Fi, and in-room drink cooler -- not to mention a complimentary full tropical breakfast -- and all this right in the heart of "Sunny Poipu," how could you not enjoy your time on Kauai?
Aloha and welcome to the historic Kauai Beach Inn, Poipu Bed and Breakfast near Whalers Cove Koloa Landing on Kauai! Located in Koloa, HI, the oldest plantation town in Hawaii, you will experience the authentic romance of old Hawaii along with some of the Pacific's most magnificent beaches. Poipu, as Kauai's southern region is known, really does have it all. Come see for yourself!
From left to right are your innkeepers at the Kauai Beach Inn, Skip, Patti, and Bob...oh, and we can't forget about Puff! All of us enjoy making your stay with us exactly what you want it to be. So let us know what we can do to make your visit to the Garden Island your best vacation ever!
We're easy to find! Take the "Spouting Horn" exit from the Koloa traffic circle, then take your first left. You'll see our signature pink & white sign immediately on the left. Aloha, and welcome to the Kauai Beach Inn, Poipu Bed and Breakfast - consider yourself at home!
The common area of the Kauai Beach Inn - Poipu Bed and Breakfast is an enchanting open space where guests can read, relax, and even make new friends. Of the many things that make this authentic Hawaiian plantation house unique, one of the most outstanding is the sandblasted redwood walls and ceilings throughout the house and guest rooms. The open design permits refreshing tropical breezes to surround you no matter where in the house you happen to be.
The intimate back lanai (shaded patio) at the Kauai Beach Inn is a favorite spot for guests to enjoy our complimentary full tropical breakfast, or just to relax in the evening and reflect on the day's adventures. Some of Kauai's rare tropical birds can be even viewed or heard right from this lanai as they enjoy their own breakfasts from our papaya, avocado, banana, and mango trees.
Yes, we've got bananas! ...an entire grove of them in fact. Our 1/2 acre lushly landscaped property also grows papayas, mangoes, avocados, and limes, many of which are served to guests as part of our complimentary daily full tropical breakfast.
Relax in the Plumeria Suite's Jacuzzi Jetted tub while enjoying a glass of wine and reading a book or just recalling the day's events. However you spend your time in beautiful Poipu, you can be sure you'll create lots of memories to last a lifetime!
The Bougainvillea Suite at the Kauai Beach Inn offers the perfect combination of luxury, privacy, and comfort. With it's own lanai (outdoor shaded patio), large private bathroom featuring a Jacuzzi jetted tub and separate shower, king-size bed, flat-screen TV with cable and Netflix, free Wi-Fi, and in-room drink cooler -- not to mention a complimentary full tropical breakfast -- and all this right in the heart of "Sunny Poipu," we don't think you'll find a better value on Kauai.
The large Jacuzzi jetted tub in the Bougainvillea Suite provides the perfect place to relax amidst a tropical garden paradise. Rejuvenate your body and get ready for your next day of adventure on Hawaii's magnificent Garden Isle.
With it's attached lanai and luxurious decor, the Orchid Room is one of Kauai Beach Inn's most popular choices. A pillow-top king-size mattress, private bathroom, in-room drink cooler, flat-screen TV with cable and Netflix, complimentary breakfast, and free Wi-Fi make this the perfect place to re-energize after an action-packed day of exploring Hawaii's Garden Isle.
Our most economical, yet perhaps most intimate room is the quiet, comfortable Ginger Room. The king-size pillow-top mattress, private bathroom with shower & bathtub, in-room drink cooler, flat-screen TV with cable & Netflix, complimentary full tropical breakast, and free Wi-Fi make this the ideal place to get away from it all amidst a secluded tropical paradise.
The road leading to the Kauai Beach Inn, Poipu Bed and Breakfast. Behind the palm trees lies the luxurious Kukui‘ula Shopping Village, an easy walk from the inn. "One of the biggest additions to Kaua‘i will be Merriman’s Cafe/Merriman’s Kaua‘i featuring chef/owner Peter Merriman... "Merriman is a three-time finalist in the James Beard Awards for Best Chef, Pacific Northwest and Hawai‘i, and Merriman’s Cafe will feature a Mediterranean menu that combines flavors from North Africa to Greece to Italy with products from Hawai‘i. The restaurant will offer a more formal dining atmosphere with a panoramic view that encompasses the hills of Kalaheo and the point at Koloa Landing. Merriman’s Kaua‘i will feature fresh fish and locally grown and raised produce and meats." -source: thegardenisland/news/local/article_e1cd84c0-8cc9-515c-9fd1-3671bdb5d183.html

4.4 out of 5Your Kauai Home Away from Home
May 02, 2013
My wife and I stayed at the Kauai Beach Inn, Poipu B&B for 9 nights and enjoyed every aspect of our stay. There are many other nice hotels or resorts to stay on Kauai, especially if you have very deep pockets, but I can't imagine any of them providing for a more welcoming, comfortable place to come home to after a long day of adventure or sightseeing. If you want a fancy room with a big landscaped pool area, the B&B won't be for you, but if you want attentive, accommodating and knowledgeable hosts who will make you feel like old friends, the Kauai Beach Inn could be just the spot for you. The rooms have everything you'd want, and Bob and Patti can provide the rest. Great breakfast - best part of the day was often just sharing the meal with the Bob and Patti and the other guest, trading plans for the day and recounting adventures from the day before. Would definitely stay again on a future visit.

Last month I have the opportunity to visit Kauai and I stayed at the Kauai Beach Inn, Poipu Bed and Breakfast. What makes it more beautiful is the genuine service that the innkeepers gave.

My husband and I stayed at the Poipu Bed & Breakfast for our honeymoon. We were there for 9 nights and felt like we were staying with dear friends. Bob and Patti are incredible hosts with great recommendations. Skip also helps out and is just as warm, friendly and fun to be with as Bob and Patti. The food was the best that I have ever had at a B&B by far. I felt like we had picked the best place to stay at on the entire island and I look forward to going back.
4.8 out of 5Great place to stay
July 27, 2011
My husband and I were only on Kauai for three nights, but we feel that Bob and Patti, the innkeepers at Kauai Beach Inn, helped us make the most out of our time on the island. The B&B is centrally located on the south side of the island, which gave us plenty of options during the day. We are runners and feel that running is a great way to see a new place. Lucky for us, Skip, the assistant innkeeper, is a runner and he had great route recommendations! The breakfast featured local fruits and was absolutely delicious. Our only complaint is the rooters, which you cannot get away from anywhere on the island. We just turned on "white noise" on our laptop but ear plugs would probably do the trick as well. We felt right at home at the B&B and can't wait to go back!

4.6 out of 5Living Like a Local
November 23, 2010
I was welcomed in like an old friend and had a wonderful time listening to live music on the porch. My host, Domonic, gave me great advice for hikes and excursions on Kauai. The location was perfect, near the ocean with fantastic snorkeling and sandy beach within a short walk, big shopping/eating center a short walk in the other direction. Dramatic sunsets every night. Room was big and clean, plenty of towels. Breakfast was relaxed and flexible, whatever I ask for, I got! This was so much more fun than when I stayed at the nearby Sheraton for twice the price. The outstanding, friendly service by my host, his staff, and getting to hang out with some entertaining musicians made my stay most memorable. I felt like I was a real Hawaiian local for a week ---a dream come true! I’ll be back! -Michael from San Francisco
4.6 out of 5Adventure Inn Oct 2010
November 07, 2010
The Adventure Inn was the best B&B we ever stayed in. The room was great! It had a beautiful breeze blowing thru all day and night. The Inn Keeper Dom was awesome! He made us feel like we were home. He was so helpful with recommendations for various activities to do on the island. Staying at the B&B afforded us the extra money to use for the fun stuff! Great value compared to the hotels in the area. Thanks again Dom! Marliese & Rob
