Only 5 miles from the beaches but 800 feet up, this peaceful mountain retreat, surrounded by tropical gardens, has extraordinary wrap around views of Mount Kahili, Lawai Valley and the ocean. 'Hale Kua' is situated on 8 acres of a developing tropical timber arboretum. Host offer 5 different accomodations including one bedroom cottage, one bedroom apartments and a 3 bedroom 2 bath house. All are tastefully decorated, very clean and offer spectacular views and lots of privacy.

Exit airport straight ahead, left on Hwy 56, merges with Hwy 50 west from Lihue. Follow 10 miles (Lawai PO on right) turn right on Kua Road at Junction of Hwy 530 (530 turns left, Kua Road Right). Follow Kua (narrow valley road) bear right up hill at .7 miles from highway (small sign on right) 4896E (main house) is third driveway on right, up hill, past two houses on left close to road. Greeting note hung near front door. Call if you get lost! - Nearest major airport: Lihue, Kauai, HI (LIH) 15 miles
