I have to say that this is probably the best accomodations I've had during any of my travels. I considered booking my girlfriend and I at the St Regis Princeville Resort but instead opted for the Palmwood B&B. I'm so glad I did. The only reservation I had about staying at a B&B over a hotel is the typical trade off that comes with a B&B (potentially annoying owners, having to carry house keys around, crappy breakfast, etc). I was relieved that none of these concerns applied to the Palmwood. The owner, Eddy, was very pleasant and was a fantastic cook. Her breakfast was among the best breakfasts I've ever had. Her banana waffles were just amazing. And the fresh watermelon juice was delicious. On top of that, she gave us complete privacy. She isn't a nosy/intruding B&B owner. Plus the house is very remote and completely open. So there was no need to carry keys around. The pictures are accurate. The room has its own outdoor hot tub which is always ready to go, an outdoor shower, and access to a BBQ, plates, glasses, and utensils. So we cooked ourselves steaks, made salad, and had some wine one evening. What I also found cool was that there was both an outdoor and indoor bed. Both were luxurious memory foam beds with fantastic sheets and pillows. Just so comfortable. The weather is so good that you can sleep outside. We stayed in the east room one night and moved to the west room for the next two nights (the west was booked for the first night of our stay). The west room has the really cool outdoor shower with the waterfall. But I think I preferred the east room because it seemed to get a nicer breeze flowing through it which was just glorious in the mornings and evenings. It's definitely worth splurging to stay here. If you do decide to stay at the Palmwood. Order the Banana Waffles!!! You won't regret it!

This was better than we could ever dream! Eddie's hospitality and breakfasts were outstanding - unique, fresh, and so healthy. The room was immaculate and zen-like. We came back each night to a fresh, neat room with soothing, soft lighting, and we awoke to the sound of a gently water feature outside. We felt a sense of peace and quiet. Fabulous!!! My wife and I had an amazing time staying at the Palmwood in July 2007. A top notch establishment, Eddi and Steve make you feel extremely welcome from the moment you arrive and continue to provide you with a world class experience until you check out. If you're looking for a relaxing, peaceful place to rest your head and chill when you visit Kauai then you must see this place before making a decision. Not to mention the breakfasts prepared by Eddi are wonderful, fresh, and make for the perfect start to your day.

THe Palmwood was the most beautiful B&B that I have ever stayed at. Every detail was taken care off, it was amzaing. Eddi, the host was wonderful and the nicest person that you could meet. She made the most spectacular food for breakfast, it was gourmet style every morning. She has a gem of a place. I highly recommend staying there, you couldn't ask for a better peaceful place!
