Yes it is true- you've found the gold at the end of the rainbow! (We have Menehunes instead of Leprechaun's though!!!) We're an an off the beaten path B & B that is newly built, clean, safe, and very comfortable. All in a beachfront location with top shelf amenities, gratuitous hosts, and fair prices! Hale Puka 'ana (House of the Hawaiian Sunset) is situated in a retired sugar plantation town that is just beginning to be discovered by the tourist industry. We front the longest white sand beach in the state of Hawaii! This means you are guaranteed to find your own private spot (if you want to). Don't forget our front door entrance to Waimea Canyon and Koke'e Park for more sight-seeing and "Garden Isle" hikes than you can cover on your trip. The verdant forests, tropical birds, and waterfalls await you! All necessities; grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, shops, and health needs are within three miles of the property. Hale Puka 'ana is located in the rain shadow of Mt. Wai'ale'ale; we only get 15" of rain a year! This guarantees you the best sunny weather on your trip. Our guests prefer to "stay" in the sunshine and "visit" the rainforest! Come and experience the Aloha of "Classic Hawaii" in this exceptional Bed and Breakfast!

Our three days in your home was fantastic. You made us feel at home with your smiles, warm cookies, great breakfasts, and flower leis. The room and the view was perfect and we couldn’t have asked for more. We still are enjoying the Hawaiian music CD you surprised us with! You do a great job and I would recommend you to all. My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon, and we had a wonderful experience! When we arrived, Jules showed us around and prepared a fresh smoothie for both of us. The B&B was quiet, but close to everything on the island. It was beautiful to have breakfast while overlooking the ocean; not to mention, we had a spread for breakfast each morning, which was delicious! Both Jules and Patrick were very accommodating, made great recommendations for restaurants, offered to put on the Steelers game on the big screen upstairs, etc. We truly couldn't have asked for anything more. On the day of our checkout, they allowed us to leave our luggage there while we enjoyed our last few hours on the island. Before we left, they gave us a CD with island music and a Kauai calendar so we could remember our time there. It was an outstanding experience and we highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the island.
