Wake to the sound of rain forest birds in our spacious Big Island home. The three-acre yard includes orchids growing on Ohia trees. Hot tub. Sumptuous breakfast of local fruit, homemade granola, homemade muffins. With vaulted ceilings and plenty of windows, the space is bright, airy and decorated with high quality art and blooming orchids. Private baths throughout. The common areas feature a library, game table and games, WiFi, kitchenette, washer/dryer and phone. A screened-in balcony and breakfast nook overlook the front yard. Art studio space, supplies and classes available. Marklyn is fluent in German.

Continue 5 miles to a traffic light at the 130/11
intersection. Turn left towards Pahoa/Kalapana.
Go another 4 miles and turn right on Pohaku Place (not Pohaku Drive.) Go two blocks and turn right when Pohaku Place ends. After one block turn right onto Laniuma at the stop sign. Go 1.2 miles up Laniuma and turn right on 39th. We are the second drive on the right. There are two rock columns and an address in front. than 2 guests, first two children under 6 free.
o Hawaii taxes 11.2%.
o 50% deposit to confirm reservation. Balance due at check-in.
o No refunds for early departures.
o We accept VISA, MasterCard, checks and travelers checks.
o Personal checks must be received within one week of phone confirmation.
o If cancellation is more than 21 days in advance, deposit will be refunded.
o If cancellation is less than 21 days in advance, deposit is forfeited unless room is re-booked.
o A $20 rebooking/handling fee applies to all cancellations.
o No refunds or cancellations during Merrie Monarch festival. Four night
minimum during Merrie Monarch.
o Check in: 3:00 to 6:00 pm; other times are possible if arranged in advance.
o Check out: 11:00 am.

Markie is a substitute teacher and used to be a train conductor. Jerry is an electrician and a windsurfer. We enjoy making and collecting art, gardening, attending gallery openings and art events. We did all the renovations to the house ourselves. - The innkeepers speak: English, German, Spanish
