After leaving the airport area, turn left on Hwy 19, north. The sign will say to "Kohala Coast". Drive approximately 27 miles to the end of the road. Turn left toward KAWAIHAE and continue for 1.5 miles. Turn right at Kohala by the Sea Realty, follow sign to MAHUKONA continue for 3.2 miles to the entry gate at KOHALA RANCH (look for flagpole). This is an exclusive gated community. After leaving the gate, continue straight ahead and turn right at the 3rd roadway PUPU PLACE, this street is exactly .3 miles from the gate Turn left at the sign "MAKANA MAI KE AKUA".
