We are situated near Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Akaka and Rainbow Falls, and Boiling Pots. Your private entrance from the lanai is through the sliding glass doors. Whether you choose the comfy and cozy Hawaiian Tropical Suite or the spacious Blue Ginger Suite, you will find each has a queen size bed and private bath. Holmes' Sweet Home Bed and Breakfast is conveniently located approximately 5 minutes from downtown Hilo with many shops and restaurants, museums, churches, gardens and parks.

We stayed in the Blue Ginger Room which was very roomy with lots of elbow room for the two of us. The double sink bathroom was big enough to dance in. The common room and breakfast area were bright and airy. The breakfast was filling with fruit and warm muffins every morning along with juice, coffee, tea, cereal, and toast. The east facing lania was beautifully sunny in the morning. Our hosts, John and Charlotte were very accommodating, offering breakfast on our time schedule, and providing information and taking good care of us during our six day stay.
