“A very special B&B for a unique and private get-away.”

    February 28, 2013

This B&B is in a private location on 4 acres and is landscaped like a minature Botanical Garden. You can enjoy an outdoor kitchen on the patio. It is so relaxing to sit outside and have breakfast and dinner with no bugs to bother you. There is always a nice warm breeze. You can see the ocean from 2 sides of the deck and from your bedroom. The outside shower and tub are a unique choice to use (totally private). When it rained during the night, it made it seem so peaceful and so refreshed in the morning. The air is so clean. Your bedroom has 2 sides that have windows at bed level that you can open and let the ocean breeze blow through. The owners (Sam and Mercury) are so particular with the yard and it is breathtaking. They are 2 very special ladies to meet, so kind and honest. They are always there if you need anything; otherwise, you never knew they were there. We are keeping this as a favorite place to stay and will be back the next time we get back to Maui. This is truly a very special B&B that tops all of the other places we have stayed during our travels. Stayed February 2013, traveled as a couple

Dream Time in Ala Aina Ocean Vista

    December 09, 2012

We just came back from Ala Aina Ocean vista. We fell in love when we first drove to the land. It was raining the whole way when we were driving, but a spectacular sunset greeted us as soon as we walked into our room. We felt like we walked into a heavenly paradise. This is one of our most favorite B&B that we’ve ever stayed. Sam and her daughter Mercury have done a fantastic job to keep the B&B so beautiful, so serene, so unique, and so rejuvenating. It washes your soul and brings peace into your world. Mercury is an artist. We love every detail that she puts into for the decoration. We spent a lot of time in the lanai to enjoy the gorgeous sunrise and sunset and the view of the garden. It was amazing to take the outdoor bath and watching the sun going down. We are not huge fan of cooking when we are home, but it was joyful and fun to cook while taking photos of different views every day. The fruits are so fresh and delicious and make our mouths watering while writing this review. Sam and Mercury, thank you much for this unforgettable vacation. Absolutely there is no question that we will go back. This is a paradise and it’s beyond the words can express.

    Ala'aina Ocean Vista

    November 07, 2012

Stayed for two nights in this wonderful place. Beautiful view, very remote. If you want to get away from it all, this is your place. Be prepared to bring all of the food you might want to cook for meals, as Hana is 9 miles away on a very narrow and twisty road. Waking up and watching the sunrise over the ocean from your bed is magical there.

    Ahhhh! Ala aina is Paradise

    October 22, 2012

Great location for those who want to unwind, relax and enjoy Hawaii True Nature. My honey booked this as a surprise, and what a pleasant one is was. Small, private, and plenty of room to stretch for soul as well as your legs. Fresh fruit at the ready. We stay 3 nights and enjoyed the King size bed and huge shower inside, as well as the outdoor tub and shower. Snorkel and beach chairs provided for our use. As well as detail descriptions of the most beautiful areas. We hope to return here soon.

    Slice O' Heaven

    May 09, 2011

If you are looking for peace and quiet and beauty on the Hana coast, look no further. Beautiful site, lovely accommodation, and gracious hostesses. You are off the grid and that's a good thing. Loved waking up to the chirping birds, light wind rustling through the trees and fantastic ocean views out two huge windows, all without leaving the bed. Recommend without reservation (room reservations are required, though) and would return in a heartbeat.

    Hawaiian Style Tropical Paradise

    October 03, 2010

My wife and I loved our stay at "Ala"aina Ocean Vista - the room was beautiful, very airy with hardwood floors, lots of wood with some Koa trim. Real Hawaiian style. We were greeted by the owner and a beautiful rainbow. We especially liked the large bed next to the windows with great view of the gardens and ocean. Lot's of trees, flowers and fruit on the property. The place is well kept, clean and very quiet. The kitchen is on the open deck, It was fun cooking and eating on the deck with an ocean view on two sides. The room had a huge shower - we also enjoyed the outdoor tub. This is by far the best place we have stayed in Hana, we will definitely be back.

    Maui - Unplugged!

    November 14, 2008

Well, not completely, but far enough away from the commercialism to really appreciate the diverse beauty that Maui has to offer. Make your own meals to enjoy on the patio, stare up at the stairs and out to the ocean without getting out of bed. Huge selection of videos and cable if you have trouble staying occupied. Amazing!

    Pleasantly surprised

    October 19, 2007

It was wonderful! Very private and quiet. We had everything we needed. My husband told me there was no electricity so I envisioned "roughing it" so when we arrived, I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Would do it again! Highly recommend
