Tropical paradise

What a tropical paradise with palms trees and plants in this huge gardens estate. You know you are there once you pull in the entry with a breathtaking view of spectacular gardens and birds signing. Loved our choice... We enjoyed 4 evenings and all our needs provided including snorkel gear and beach stuff. Our hosts were so helpful in details of all there is to see and had typed daytrips for us. Would highly recommend to all. Close to head to Kona for an evening and great restaurants so close you can walk.. Thank you Steve and Janice for making our honeymoon so very special and we hope to return again in the coming years.

Beautiful setting, friendly hosts, great breakfasts, many extras (day trips planned, snorkeling gear, coolers, beach towels); they've thought of everything, felt like home!

Lovely and peaceful B&B

We spent 5 wonderful days at this beautiful and peaceful home. Janice was a friendly and very informative hostess (her husband Steve was away during our stay). Her breakfasts were truly a delight, featuring fresh island fruits, homemade breads and muffins, homemade jellies and syrups, the setting is beautiful and the atmosphere is very friendly. Close to Kailua, but away from the bustle. Highly recommended!

Fabulous breakfasts!

Everything was great about Areca Palms -- lovely location surrounded by tropical plants, charming home, recommendations on activities and even snorkeling and beach equipment to borrow. The breakfasts were the highlight -- fresh fruit from the grounds and many homemade treats, including assorted breads, banana jam and guava syrup. Janice was a wonderful, informative and helpful host (Steve was out of town during our visit). We would definitely stay here again.

A pleasure to wake every morning!

I do not believe we could have been more satisfied with our stay at Areca Palms. Our large extended family group of eight occupied every one of the beautiful and well kept rooms. Janice & Steve were most hospitable. Janice even brought home a cake for our father's (88th) birthday on our first night. After reading all of the reviews, it would appear redundant to say, you could not find a better place to stay while on your Hawaiian vacation! Thank you Janice & Steve for a pleasurable stay! Areca Palms B&B - a really nice place to stay

We stayed for 4 nights at Janice and Steve's B&B, - met great hospitality and helpfulnes. The place is nice and quiet, - the breakfast was every day extremely nice, consisting of fresh local fruits, homemade cake and juice - and then it looked really beautiful. It was possible to borrow all equipment needed for a beach/snorkle-trip - very nice. We highly recommend this B&B.
