The Cleftstone Manor, built in 1884 on “Millionaire’s Row”, is one of the few Victorian mansions to escape the fire of 1947. Anne's White Columns Inn, an impressive Georgian structure, is located in the Historical Corridor in downtown Bar Harbor. They are roomy with two double beds, and each guesthouse has its own fully equipped kitchenette so you can cook your lobsters in as an alternative to going out. The GARDNER HOUSE is a restored eighteenth century farmhouse and is the third oldest house in the Machias area. There is only one guestroom in the house, so your privacy is assured.
