Inn Details

Casa Viva Troncones consists of three palm-thatched roofed bungalows, or Casita, each with a private bathroom built into a natural setting and organic gardens. Each casita is a mini-suite, to provide each person in your party with privacy, all Casitas share the Common Area that includes the kitchen, dining, Jacuzzi and pool. Above the Common Area is a sleeping porch that accommodates overflow (up to 6 single beds) or is perfect for yoga, meditation, exercise or play.

How to best describe the Casa Viva experience...well in the words of one our guests as posted to Trip Advisor, "By far and away the most amazingly relaxing holiday we have ever had...Landing in Zihuatanejo was nice enough, and then we got to Casa Viva...wow. we were blown away by the surroundings, lovely casitas, AMAZING food (homemade AND delicious: breakfast included in the basic price, lunch & dinner a bit extra) ... The whole place is so relaxing, it honestly has an effortless beauty, eco-minded-without-being-basic, 5-star-luxury-bohemian vibe (if that makes sense). Like everyone says; we should have stayed longer ... but no question, we're definitely coming back. Also, would highly recommend exploring along the coast and around the beaches (we had a car to venture out a bit) - it's hard to leave Casa Viva itself, it's so darn lovely, but the surrounding countryside & neighborhoods are very cool too!"

This is one of 3 Casitas (little houses), the Casita Quadrada or Square Casita. Each casita is a private bungalow with king size bed, full bathroom, porch, area for children to sleep. Each casita has a view of the ocean.Aerial photo of Casa Viva, you see beach on left and road on right. Common Area with pool in upper left with the three casitas across the bottom from left to right.
One of many great photos of the pool, jacuzzi and Common Area at Casa Viva. Casa Viva is located on a private beach. This is your little piece of paradise. This is the interior of Casita Redonda or Round Casita. In the background, note that each casita is equiped with mosquito netting, a luxury, not a necesity, just to make guests comfortable. In the forground, is the couch of this suites living room overlooking the ocean. All casitas are made with palm thatch roofs, no windows, no air conditioning other than what nature provides. Casa Viva is simple elegance and natural luxury.
This is another casita, called Casita Privada or Private Casita, because it includes its own kitchen. Thus, it is the perfect casita for the visitors who wish more privacy from the common area. It is the perfect place for visitors wanting an extended stay. You can see the solar panels for water heating and electrical generation, Casa Viva is built organically for sustainable living. When Casa Viva openned, it made teh cover of Paradise Magazine...a fitting start to both.
The table settings for breakfast, included in your stay. Additional meals upon request, can be arranged directly with the staff, see reviews on our guest book for raves about the food. When folks ask, "what should I bring?", the answer is simple, your flops and your bathing suit. That's all.
