    We enjoyed the vistas from the terraces and the location - not too close to the centre of town and not too far. We were able to kick back and smell the roses. All the staff were very friendly and helpful - very tolerant of our weak Spanish. It was nice to see that the casa was dog friendly as we missed our pack back back in Alaska. A very relaxed atmosphere.

    I've stayed at Casa Estrella a number of times, basically every time I visit Guanajuato. It's a truly beautiful place, from the architecture (especially in the Casita) to the decorations. It's obvious that the owners put a lot of thought and love into creating the space. The view of the city is amazing - during the summer you can watch the thunderstorms play out over the city from your bed at night. Every room has a great view, and i prefer staying in the Valenciana to staying in the center of town. It's so much quieter and cleaner! Taxis are cheap and easy to call. There's no dining per se, but the breakfasts served on an outside patio (again with a fabulous view) are delicious and the staff is warm and helpful. All in all: great place, great people, you would definitely enjoy it here!
