    In central Greece , the region of Magnesia, is located the Mythological Mountain of Pelion, home of the Centaurs. Mountain Pelion, the green magical mountain is dotted with 24 pearls, the villages . Makrinitsa, one of them is probably the most beautiful one, overseeing the city of Volos , where Jason and the Argonauts initiated the celebrated expedition. After all, Pelion derives its name from Peleas, the father of the hero of Troy . In just few hours by boat from Volos are 3 unique islands, the cosmopolitan Skiathos,Skopelos ( where the movie mama-mia was set), , and Alonissos, visited by almost all tourists. Makrinitsa is 30 minutes ride from Volos . We have redecorated one traditional INNS, built in 1804 in the very centre of the village, with the beautiful panoramic view, of the city of Volos We have 21 rooms ( single , double and triple ) with private bathrooms, fireplaces( in some of them)and TV. We serve breakfast and offer, for the asking, bicycles, to cycle to the nearby villages. Cars, motorcycles and sailing boats are provided to our clients/guests.

    Paradise in Makrinitsa!!

    My husband and I spent 4 days at this wonderful B & B. We did not want to leave! This is a beautiful, amazing place to stay. The father and daughter who operate are the most wonderful people, they make you feel like family the minute you walk through the door. Very, very clean and beautifully decorated and well maintained. We have been to Santorina which is very beautiful...but the view from our room was breathtaking. Not only do you see the city of Volos below, but also the agean sea. You have the best of both worlds, the mountains and the sea! I would definately recommend renting the sailboat for a day. Swimming in the agean was the icing on the cake! My husband and and I can not wait to return to "paradise". We will definately go back!!

      The mansion is located in the heart of the village and, facing the main square, mansion Diomidis dominates imposingly above the famous fountain of water of immortality, "Ta Liontarakia". It is a building of the 18th century that distinguished by the grandeur and the majesty of its peculiar architecture. It is made of stone and wood and embraces even the most demanding visitor. The interior of the building consists of dark wooden floors and wooden ceilings and wooden traditional furniture. At the third floor, where the ondas is, there are many windows and skylights. It is made of successive rows of protruded stones and this is one of the features of the mansion. Around the halls - lounges there are the rooms. The sitting rooms that take shape in the lounges create corners for discussion and enjoyment of the view next to the fireplace.
