Villa Kerasia Hotel is located in the settlement of Vlahiana which is found 15 km southwest of the town of Heraklion in the municipality of Palliani. It lies at the southeast foot of Psiloritis and it is amphitheatrically located in a 580 meter height, viewing the areas of Kerasia, Venerato, and Avgeniki in a distance of about 1 km. The area’s special natural beauty is characterized by the intense morphological contrast of the terrain and the plantation and the vineyards that embrace the settlement within a wide ray, in combination with the gorges in between (Ano Asites, Agia Irini, Venerato). The area around Villa Kerasia Hotel is ideal for walking through the old trails that drive to the nearby Byzantine churches. The international mountain track (E4) that crosses next to the settlement, leads to the organized shelter of the mountaineering club (Prinos, 1200m height). It is also possible for you to participate in organized climbing groups to Psiloriti. Within a short distance of about 2 km from the settlement there is the archaeological area of Ancient Rizinia. The city was discovered through the excavation between 1906-1908 and prospered from the late Minoan period of 600 B.C. till the Hellenistic period of 67 B.C. The position of Rizinia up to the hill in the center of Crete in the mid way between the two large Minoan cities, Knossos and Faistos, was of great strategic importance.

You are traveling west on a main road which is parallel to the sea.
You are now on the correct road, just follow it. Within about 2 kilometres you will see a signposts for Mires/Moires and Tybaki.
Just keep following the road until you reach the exit(16km) to village Venerato.
This is a very small village, go slowly and you will see the sign for Kerasia and Asites turn right set your mleage indicator to zero: You now have only 2.2 kilometres to drive.
Follow the road slowly up the hill past the tiny village of Kerasia.
Continue up the hill and on your left you will catch glimpses of the villa.
Take a left at 2.2 kilometres and you are there.
There is a little car park on the right for guests.

taking the right turn for Heraklion. 
 Go straight on and ignore signs for Heraklion.
After about four(4) kilometers ignore the first exit Heraklion and take the next after 50 meters to Mires/Moires.

Continue on this road following the signs which read Agia Varvara and Mires/Moires.
