The daily breakfasts were very good and the selection very good despite it being a small b&b. If the staff were friendlier, it would have greatly improved my opinion.

I'm the owner of the George in London and have seen your review. I appreciate feedback from guests as this is the best way to make sure that we improve the facilities, etc., that guests in our price bracket need. I note your comment about unfriendly staff and wondered if you'd mind giving me a bit more detail about this. I know that, personally, a restarant meal or hotel stay can be ruined for me if the staff are disinterested or unfriendly and my managers are quite clear also about how important this aspect is. A friendly, relaxed atmospere is especially important at our level in the accommodation business where we don't have the facilities of the larger hotel groups. I would appreciate it if you would give me a little more specific detail as to what happened at the George that gave you the impression of unfriendliness there. Reception - This will be the place to go for assistance with tours, travelling, general London information, etc. If you don't get a smile and a cheery welcome here ask for a discount!Double bedroom - What can we say about a bedroom! Hopefully it will be as comfortable for you as the one at home and you'll have a TV with free satellite channels, tea/coffee facilities, clock radio, direct dial phone, etc.
The perfect location for a stay in central London - quiet and peaceful facing central gardens but within walking distance of the British Museum, Covent Garden, Soho and the West End, ideal for both theatres and shopping.Guest lounge area - Here you can relax with the morning paper, do your emails (we have a computer here with free internet access), plan your day or chat to other guests.
Breakfast Room - Start the day with a satisfying, full English breakfast. All the usual that you expect with a hot, cooked breakfast and, best of all, it's included in the price. If you're still hungry when you've finished - have another one (free)!Friendly, helpful staff - they'll absolutely do everything they can (within reason) to help you enjoy your visit to London.
