Granted from my side; I originally did not see that breakfast was self serve, but still in my humble opinion; that should classify the place as a Hostel instead of a B&B. Bob and Rosa; as well as their son William are certainly very friendly, and do otherwise try to accomodate well. Again I might say it was my fault that the rooms; nor the rest of the establishment; had any usable phone for the guests...It would have been nicer to have even a pay phone in or more near the facilities....If you are looking for a very inexpensive and reasonably priced roof over your head then of course stay here; you won't regret it at all, but if you want a few more of the little "luxuries" a B&B might still include; then I would suggest you try somewhere else...

    Innkeeper Response
This is a un-true review. We gave these guests a really cheap deal for 2 week stay and on arrival upgraded them to an en suite triple room instead of the room they booked which was a small double with private bath and we did this at no extra charge. This is because we have a policy of giving our guests the best available so on arrival we showed them round the house and let them choose whatever room they wanted . I note that they had an issue regarding phones. Nowadays every one has mobile phones and therefore phones are not normally an issue. These guests used our house phone without asking and made numerous calls. We do have a mobile phone which we lend to guests , it’s a pay as you go and guests can pay for their usage only- this was offered to them but the offer was not taken up. Regarding the breakfasts, most of our guests love self service , as we have extended hours for breakfast and the cut off is mid day, therefore guests can relax and have an early or late breakfast if they feel like having a lazy morning. We also ask what guests like to have for their breakfast and stock the guest fridge with whatever they like. Regarding comments on cleanliness, we keep a clean Inn – we cleaned the guests room regularly and there were occasions when they wouldn’t let us into the room to clean. Regarding this review, we feel this is not fair as not one of the complaints are true and feel that we do our best for every one that stays with us- for instance - we took care of this couple’s 15 year old son who was left most days at our B and B when the parents went out sightseeing. He made friends with our 19yr old son who out of the goodness of his heart played classical guitar with him and spent a great deal of time with him which he didn’t really have to do, but he was left in the house on his own every day.

enjoyed the house, great location, pleasant people, unfortunately my partner's brother died and we had to depart after one night. We still paid for the entire stay of 3 nights minus the parking pass.
